Hi guys

This morning I received from my MA the request for the second VAC English.

Someone knows if, at this stage, we can be sure to get soon the visas or something might get wrong?

About 1 month ago the nomination has been approved.

Thanks mate.

Maurizio

Which is almost done mate, once after paying VAC2 you should get that in 7working days

My MA said exactly the same. It is too risky. If anything goes wrong while being overseas the immigration department may not allow you to enter the country again, not even to pick up your private things. Also, you may have to re-do the medical and police clearance once you go overseas depending where you travel to. It is not worth it risking your PR.

So coming back to you with some feedback.

Long story short, if the visa gets refused while the applicant is overseas on BVB, the applicant can't appeal from overseas but it does look like the applicant can appeal when back in the country if the BVB is still valid.

Now, if the refusal reasons are super critical - criminal for example - I can see the department cancelling the BVB and preventing the applicant to come back in. Makes sense.

As frustrating as the process is, it does sound like the Department of Immigration is reasonable.

We got our visa grant today! I've been checking every day (sometimes several times a day ?) for the past couple weeks and then, today - the one day I've been too busy to check - I suddenly had 5 emails in my ((new, visa-related only!) inbox!!

Our timeline is as follows:-

26/06/16 - Arrived in Australia

04/07/17 - Husband started job

02/12/16 - Employer application in

15/12/16 - Our application in (I did it myself to save money, it was quite straight forward but time-consuming and lots of docs to collate and scan)

25/05/17 - Employer nomination approved

25/05/17 - Sent for medicals

30/05/17 - Medical cleared (I wasn't notified about this, I just happened to notice when I logged on, and if I hadn't clicked the "confirm" button we might still be waiting!)

16/06/17 - visa granted!

Our UK police checks expired in March and I was worried they might ask us to do them again, but clearly not!

Good luck to everyone else with their visas ?Now I have the nightmare task of sorting Medicare / Centrelink / MLS / LHC exemption etc! ?

Talking to a MA really confuses me more!! There is something I urgently need to know to clarify and know whether we are eligible to apply for ENS 186 direct entry.

We got assessed as positive by VETASSES. As you all know, they now include the Points Test Advice on the outcome letter, even if Points test advice is not relevant, or applicable to the type of visa you are applying, which is our case.

Anyway, the date deemed skilled for points test advice on the letter is Jan 2015, and the # of years assessed positively is 1.8 yrs only. The problem is that they used three years of work exp to calculate the qualifying period required to meet the skill level of the nominated occupation, all because the qualification, even though is assessed as comparable to a AFQ Bachelors degree, is not in a highly relevant field to the nominated occupation.

So, can someone please who have had their skills assesed by VETASSES confirms if they were elegible to apply for the 186 visa DE stream, having less than 3 years work exp in the "# of years assess as positive" in the outcome letter?? Does that field really matter or is taking into account by CO's at DIBP??? Generally speaking we meet the 3 yrs relevant work expet, but not for Point Test advice.

Thanks in advance and sorry to bother you all with this question, but it is really important.

Hi JonnyP - As far as I remember, the MA you consulted said it was ok and someone on the forum who got their 186 visa approved confirmed that it was ok a couple of weeks ago.

I completely understand how you feel and I would recommend you to hire a trusted MA, preferably the same agent as your company so it will help you to have someone to talk to when you have a doubt. Going from there, trust your MA because your MA is the only person who really knows your file and the rules.

This is a legal process, so nobody on the forum can give you a straight answer because we are not migration professionals and even if we were, we do not know the details of your file or your company's file.

Researching too much will increase your confusion and your stress. You will always find someone who will tell you that if they were you they would not do this or that :)

Good luck!

Sure. My husband applied under 262112 - ICT Security Specialist. He's a penetration tester / security consultant (ethical hacker).

That sounds pretty cool :P Congrats - don't worry too much about Medicare, Centerlink etc. My experience with them has always been positive - pretty quick and efficient.

Hi everyone,

I have a question- Some of you have said that you can see your application status move from 'x' to 'y'. Can I ask where you log in to check this? We have applied for a 186 Visa (ENS)  in May 2016 and are waiting for a CO to be assigned.

As per our MA, that's the next step but when we asked if we can keep track of the status anywhere or call immi, MA said there's no way to do this. I'll add my details to the spreadsheet now but looks like the applications are being processed by job skill demand as well. Perks of being from a HR country + being a marketing specialist ;)

Cheers!

Hi dear Friends

Currently Im on 186 ENS and got my PR 3 months ago. I've signed a contract with.company as Customer Service Manager for 2 years. My question is that; If my company change my position as Store Manager is it problem? And should we contact Immi about this issue?

Heaps thanks

Oh god, don't tell me they haven't opened the May DE marketing specialist files :(  How much longer are we going to wait? This is so unfair compared to transition people.

You should be able to import your application into your immi account if you have one: https://online.immi.gov.au/lusc/login

You can only view your application status and cannot view your company nomination one.

You can see your visa status through vevo but I do not think that they show application status: http://www.border.gov.au/Busi/Visa/VEVO/how-to-view-your-visa-status-and-entitlements

Immi phone number is here: http://www.border.gov.au/about/contact/make-enquiry

Seeing your status is not super helpful because there are no details and it generally simply goes from received to finalised.

Calling immi does not really help either because that's just a support line. Even if they access your account - which they do not always do, depending on who answers the phone - they can't give any feedback on the process.

By the way, are you onshore of Offshore?
