Just curious, what will happen when the amount of visa 186&187 approvals hit the limit?

1, let the rest applicants wait until next financial year?

2, refuse as many nomination applications as they could by very picky processing standard?

If the quota is 30000, then every month they will process 30000/12 for average.

Or if they processed more than 30000/12 each month for the first 6 months, then in the last 6 months they will control and approve less than 30000/12 each month to not exceed the cap.

Hi Aron, Please update the details and include in your signature

Occupation:
State:
Birth Country:
Stream:
Number of applicants:
ENS 186 Visa and Nomination applied:
IMMI Status:

I would suggest stop over thinking all these new announcements - no one here knows a clear answer and all just based on speculation.  If we worry about all this we will seriously go crazy!

I would say your assumptions are correct.  However with regards to point 2 - the department are already a lot stricter and in the last 2 years they do not have to request any further information and can refuse - there has been a big increase in refusals due to this measure of not having to ask for further information.

That is why it is very important that the pending applications are continuously up to date.

I`m fine if the DHA just put the applicants in the waiting pipeline due to the 30000 quota.

But I think it`s unfair to refuse nominations without asking for more information just because there`re not enough places.

This`s why many applicants are so anxious when waiting for their nominations.

I just think it`s not right.

If they refuse Nomination or Visa Application they must give a reason why - they cannot reject on the basis of not enough places.

If the quota is met it is safe to say that any submitted applications will still be pending processing.

I believe that they will have a quick look at a file, if they see a reason to refuse, they will do that right away. If they think it looks fine, they will either process it or put you back in line depending on quotas. So in a way my wait seems like a good sign....I had a friend applying for the same occupation a month after me and she received a refusal a year ago as I havent had any contact.

The skilled employer sponser is not 186 and 187. It will be a new type of VISA.

employer sponsored -- 30000 is 186+187

I think 186 (employer sponsored) and 187 (regional employer sponsored) is different. Which should be 30000 + 9000 = 39,000

They are currently 65k 457 visa holders . each year ,they will grant 30k visas. So , there is no problem with reduced quota. There are less number 457 visa holders and less number quota.

Don't forget people without 457 can also apply 186/187 via DE stream.

Hi guys, I need help please.

What happen if during the sponsorship the business changed director without alerting Immigration?

The business didn’t change nothing (ABN, ORGANISATION CHART, POSITION OF SPONSOR) only director from daughter to her mum.

Thanks in advance

Hi. I have a question. I’ve completed health examinations. And my result shown on immi account is:

All health examinations required for the specified visa subclass have been finalised. Processing of this person's visa application can now continue. This will not occur until a case officer investigates the case in line with published processing times for the visa that has been applied for. Do not contact the department about health examinations in the meantime.

My partner completed the health examinations together with me. However, her result shown on immi account is:

The required health examinations have been completed and submitted by the panel clinic to the department. This person's case will be processed or referred to the department's migration medical services provider, Bupa Medical Visa Services, for further assessment.

Is that normal? Many thanks!

I vaguely remember seeing the latter when I first did mine and then it switched to the former after a few days.

Thanks for your reply. I think her result should be all good as that’s what Bupa’s doctor told us. I’ll check again next week.

Hey!

My PR was granted today after 12 months and 2 days!!! 5 days after my nomination was approved. Just had half a bottle of champagne haha!

No further documents requested; went from "received" this morning to "finalised" at around 5pm.

I went through such an emotional roller coaster the past 17 months, realise some of you have been waiting for a lot longer and wish you all the best.

I found being part of this forum both tough and very helpful. Tough because it's impossible to find a pattern and you simply don't understand why some people get their PRs faster than others, why your application gets rejected for a missing document and others have a chance to provide missing documents, left with a bitter and frustrating "why them and not me" feeling at times which isn't particularly healthy. But I'm still so grateful for everyone in this forum because the help and support it brought me outweighed the frustrations. And once the initial frustration was gone, I managed to feel joy each time someone got PR and it helped to tell myself that it meant my application was slowly making it closer to the top of the pile!

2 key messages for you:

- Don't waste too much time/energy looking for a pattern (even if it's tempting...), be patient and keep faith

- Be happy for all the PRs granted and tell yourself that it means yours is 1 application closer to being looked at!

Good luck to everyone who's still waiting!!!

Hi, Charlotte as I can see you applied for a management consultant role so can you please guide me your valuable feedback on how you got job experience and what job role, please.

as I need to get 1-year experience as Management consultant to apply for PR and assessment.

thanks.

@Andytomas I'm a little confused, you have already asked this exact same question, and I had also already answered it (a few times from memory).
- Has something else changed that you are bringing it up again?

Been 4 weeks since provided more docs to CO and still further assessment!!!

this is the longest worst part of the wait ever 😞

@Munkey1980 I completely understand - the wait is excruciating.

Unfortunately, with it being in "Further Assessment", this could come through with an update soon (within the next 10 days) or could be massively delayed - there are some people waiting on "Further Assessment" for many months.

Stay strong, expect the worst and hope for the best! It'll come through.

Hi guys, need help and suggestions.

CO asked for more documents.

- More evidence to show that my position as a field scoper (Electrical) relates to my nominated occupation (Electrical Engineer).

Any suggestions? What more evidence can be given?

-  PayG summary from my previous employment.

i had worked on ABN at my previous job. In that case what document will be relevant to PayG summary to show my income (Tax Return etc.)??

your suggestions will be really helpful.

@Hisham Khan

You have asked this 3 times now, with little / no response, unfortunately - I'm not able to assist as I also don't know what you would need here.

Might I suggest that you contact your MA and ask them for some advice / guidance on this request?

@Andytomas It would be quicker to rather just re-answer 🙂

It's recommended to update your case by providing the updated information. They do advise you to do this when / if anything changes.
- Their wording is "any change of circumstances".

It shouldn't affect your case in any way, however, it will keep them up to date on all information and avoid any issues down the line with "not telling them".

@Hisham Khan

This is only my suggestion, as our company usually needs to supply evidence to show that Formwork Carpenters are related to the sponsored Carpenter occupation. We have supplied this up front as per MA's request, and never needed anything further. (Speaking from employer point of view, as they have lodged many other successful nominations - mine is still 'received')

A letter from the employer listing your duties as a field scoper, finding likeness where possible to the duties of an Electrical engineer. I'm not sure of either occupation/role, but it could be worded to say that your job entails the duties of both occupations and that a field scoper is a specialist role within Electrical engineering. A role that the company requires you to fulfill.

This request from CO is to help them understand the roles and responsibilities of the occupation. They could be just like me, and be completely clueless to those jobs.

As always though, the best advice will come from an MA who has dealt with similar requests before.

My Nomination was approved yesterday and now waiting for the golden email. It's a huge relief because MA had put a wrong occupation in the nomination application. I only picked it last week when CO had indicated I was not meeting one of the caveats on my occupation. The waiting continues with renewed hope.
