Following on from the thread of the top 10 Aussie foods and prompted by Newjez, what do you think should be Australia's signature dish?

 

Although I don't like saying this, I suppose it should be something with kangaroo, how about a kangaroo pie:dull:

It would HAVE to be Sausage in a piece of bread,lol,, you cant go anywhere without there being a Sausage Sizzle nearby,lol

And I used to think that Aussie BBQs were the envy of the world. Until someone passed me a piece of bread with a burned beef sausage.

Rack of lamb with a macadamia and lemon thyme crust. And served with a (any) Yarra Valley red wine jus reduction, and sweet potato puree. Honey roasted dill carrots on the side.

There was a restaurant in perth that did a lovely rack of lamb. Divine. Can't remember its name.

 

But I do think it should be something with kangaroo, or emu. Maybe with a southern European influence, but with a twist. I like the previous lamb recipe. Would that work with roo?
