  1. I've just received the request from a case officer for my husband to carry out UK and Aus police checks. It looks as if things are moving for us at last.
  2. Click your profile drop down arrow at top right of the screen, account settings, signature, type in the details, save. Took me a while to find it.
  3. I think we'll wait to see if we definitely need all three checks. Both of us left Aus 35 years ago and I only lived there for 7 years. Also if we wait till asked we'll know they'll be looking out for them rather than just adding them as new attachments without knowing if they've already looked at our applications. Good luck to everyone.
  4. Thanks for your encouragement Jon. I really hope my application's covered everything although we haven't submitted Aus police checks.
  5. I'm feeling a bit concerned. If they are actually processing by date of application they must have found something lacking or hard to decipher with mine .
  6. I thought it had increased by a month but it's still showing the same 14-16 months.
  7. The processing times don't seem to mean anything if they keep changing. I think all they're saying is it's going to take longer or shorter and no-one knows, even them perhaps ?.
  8. Great news. It would be good if it reverts to the beginning of the year's 11 - 13 months or less. Many of us have been waiting around five months or longer without any communication.

  10. It certainly confused me. I went ahead with the medical straight away! How did you add the footnote to your profile?
  11. Partner 309 – applied offshore via the London Office. I'm British, husband Australian, married 30 years, two dual nationality children. Submitted 17.03.18 (status Received) Sponsorship 17.03.18 (status Submitted) Medical Completed 21.03.18 (following automated request) Medical Clearance 24.03.18 ACRO uploaded 01.05.18 At the time my application was submitted many visas were granted in 3-4 weeks even though the processing times stated 11-13 months. They increased to 12-16 months and now stand at 21-26 months. I initially thought the increased times were for new applications but it sounds as if they affect even existing applicants. I haven’t received any communication or been allocated a case officer.
  12. OMG the stress if that was done to me, I'd be paranoid an email might go to junk and I'd miss out on my visa! I hope the shock doesn't finish us off when that date changes.
  13. Yes mhaffie I'm enjoying the sun while it lasts and hope you are too. Heavy gardening followed by glasses of wine as a reward. The Ozzie shorts came out today, just for the garden . I'm cutting down on looking at my account although it remains the same today!!
  14. Hi Jon the hat. I remember I applied just a day or two before you - 17th! Thanks for your help re the police certificate. My husband hasn't applied for an Australian one as he hasn't lived there for 37 years but maybe they'll ask.
  15. It definitely gives people more of an incentive to reply if they know they're not going to be waiting a year! I haven't seen any new reports of one month processing times, just lots about delays but they're not UK applications.
  16. Envious of your coastal walk, have a lovely time. Just the park or a pub lunch for me! As you say the weather teases you, it's returning to chilly next week.
  17. Congrats!! It's reassuring you see the application is being dealt with. Trouble is I thought the progress would continue at a similar speed! Being given a case officer would be wonderful.
  18. Hi Mhaffie I was just being paranoid, I think I did it correctly. It does say they will contact you if they need further information rather than just cancelling the application! I also received the acknowledgement and reference no. As you say it's easy to upload the report to the application, it just made me think there was some advantage in waiting for the case officer to send it to them direct. I checked how to attach it and can see it needs to be uploaded under Character evidence of, Overseas police clearance - national. I've read they may ask the sponsor for an Australian police check. It's a lovely day and going to be hot tomorrow but we don't have your lovely beaches to enjoy.
  19. My application's sent. Glad it's done as I found it a bit stressful wondering if I'd done everything properly. When you attach the docs you can't view them. Did you say your partner has submitted a sponsor certificate too?
  20. I'm applying now but it asks if I have been appointed a case officer, which I haven't. Do you think this means it's better to wait?
