Perth CBD is actually quite tame compared to the average British town/city centre.

Good to know they will be still using the plant at Solihull in another way it's pretty iconic, currently 1800 staff are temp through an agency I guess it's easier to get rid of them.

Times change have you seen the murder rate this year? Gangs on mopeds robbing people in broad daylight, acid and knives seem to be the weapon of choice.

Australian economy beats expectations with 3.1% annual GDP growth. The Australian economy has beaten expectations, with very strong 1 per cent growth in the first quarter driving a 3.1 per cent annual increase in GDP. Not as good as during the boom years but still reason to be pleased, just this week had our employment agreement signed off for the next 3 years 4% pay rise per year as well as incremental increases happy days.

UK economy slowest growth since 2012, manufacturing at a 17 month low. Rolls Royce slashing jobs Land Rover slowly moving production away from the UK. I thought things were improving why the sudden down turn?

The same as with SATS there really shouldn't any surprises at result time, teachers shouldn't need test results to highlight weaknesses in individual students and if they do perhaps it's time to look at a different profession.

We had a small wooden ornament probably 18 inches high and it got picked up by customs they wanted either close to $400 to fumigate or $70 to destroy it. So I should imagine furniture would be extremely expensive should they decide it's untreated - I believed our ornament was treated but not according to customs.

Same in Perth more interested in revenue raising than preventing serious driving offences.

Melbourne drivers are some of the worst I have seen, Perth drivers are only slightly better though. I didn't think the roads in Melbourne were that bad compared to UK roads which are atrocious, thankfully Perth roads are excellent on the whole every UK visitor we have comments and how good they are.
