.........the deceit is in manipulating the language....! .........changing the terminology.... .........by removing the word .....asylum seeker...... .........it's dehumanising a vulnerable people..... .........so by labelling them.....without a personal reference..... ..........reduces them to little more than an inanimate problem..... ..........DECIETFUL.....!!!!!

......I do think this paragraph sums up today's politicians.....and policies...! ....Australians like to think of themselves as individuals, independent of spirit and mind. They call a spade a spade because that's what it bloody well is. Yet in the hands of a powerful institution, be it governmental or corporate for that matter, the judgment and inclination of people can be subtly turned. It's never a big thing; an emphasis here, a nuance there. The power of language is thus the language of power. ........quite frightening really....... ........to be led by the manipulation of our language......!

Your edict, Minister for Immigration and Border Protection, that detention staff and members of your department now refer to asylum seekers as "illegal maritime arrivals" is shameless and shameful.It is a brutish manipulation of language to suit your, and your government's, political purposes. This week The Sun-day Age published an email written by a department official to detention centre staff that states: "The department has received correspondence from the minister clarifying his expectations about the department's use of terminology." People who arrived by boat were to be referred to as illegal maritime arrivals. Those held in detention centres were to be known as "detainees", rather than "clients". .......I arrived here this time in '92.......it fulfilled all our needs,,,,,,,! .......but over recent years my priorities have changed........ ......to have a choice......makes for contentment IMO.........! .......because to feel ..stuck......is a life on hold....... ........while life's good enjoy it.... ......but life changes.................anytime....all the time,....as do the needs and wants of the individual....... .......pleased life's good for you now....... .........but some's needs may never be met by emigrating..... ...........and others may change..........at any time....... ..........needs and wants....! ........All we can do to live life contentedly........is to fulfills as many of the first......and as much of the second.....as we can...... ..........wherever..... delivers at that time in our lives.......IMO....of course....tink X

......pool company's often will give you names of people willing to tell your their opinion of them..... ......true it's only the favourable comments.....lol..... ......but sometimes helps to know their reputation from actual recipients..... ......one piece of advice I was given......and after 3 pools have found invaluable.... ......is not to scrimp on the filtration system... ......get the best you can afford.....that will easily cope with the pool and more...! ......best of luck......tink X

.....but often that place hasn't the facilities to cope...... .....they are poor countries often struggling with their own....... ......I do think such as Australia should do more to help these people....!

.........often the reason they don't obtain a visa..... ........is their fleeing for their lives...... ........no time to submit the form.... ........wait for it to be issued....! ........if there even is a facility in the country their fleeing from....!
