  1. 1) You should discuss further options with an Migration agent. 2) WA will not appeal for you in the tribunal. 3) you can't appeal if you are in offshore.
  2. mate, the best idea is to contact them The Manager Migration and Information Services ACT Economic Development Directorate Ph: +612 6207 1957 Fax: +612 6207 0033 Email: migrationservices@act.gov.au Call after 9:30 AM australian time, they are friendly and can give you proper answer.
  3. 1) You don't need the EOI when you apply for the State nomination but the ACT govt asks to submit the EOI documentation while submitting for the nomination where the applicant MUST choose ACT ONLy. if the applicant chooses more then one state then the application will be refused. 2) not sure about the IELTS actually, as per my understanding and research, while assessing nominations application the Migration unit checks and verifies if the applicant can reach at least 60 points ( which is the qualifying points for 190 visa ) that includes 5 points from state nomination. for example, if the applicant has 55 points without State nomination && adding 5 points from state nomination makes it 60 points then state nomination can be issued, otherwise not.
  4. If you are in Australia, you can do before the CO asks. If you are offshore , its better to wait for the CO. but you can start processing for the Police check if you want and it validity is 1 year but it will reduce you visa validity time frame.
  5. gigantic fonts made me sick anyway......if you supply all the necessary documents ( each and everything, not missing any ) you will hear within 2-3 weeks about allocating a CO and within 30 days ( working ) you will get the outcome. Please don't contact with them before finishing 30 days. Sometimes they get delay due to huge number of applicant. My suggestion again, Please supply ALL the doc they asked. currently there are huge number of applicants and they are bit choosy
  6. you will be fine. did u manage to supply enough job ad?
  7. Its a total moral obligation but legal. I guess every one who applied/ is going to apply for the ACT job market etc, but once they got the sponsorship and visa they tend to leave Canberra. Its nothing but cheating and lack of morality. Who knows in near future the law will be changed and will make it mandatory to stay in the sponsored state, like 489 visa. I think its needed. State like ACT/NT need skilled people, & that's why they do sponsor. Some chicky people take this as an opportunity.
  8. you will get an outcome very soon, if others are are also finalized & MET.
  9. You surely can Apply for 189/190 visa while on bridging visa. When you will apply for the 485 visa you will be granted a bridging visa automatically which will allow to remain in Australia legally. Once you will lodge visa application for 189/190, you will get another bridging visa, once you 189/190 visa is issued the CO will ask you withdraw 485 visa application unless it's approved beforehand.
  10. My suggestion is simple, If don't use any agent then blindly follow the checklist and guideline. There are lots of applicant for the ACT at this moment & if any thing is missing they are straightway refusing. 1 & 2 is must , at least 6 very recent job advertisements, you will get it from seek.com.au, make a pdf of the ad, along with the date & link. for number 2, need to do some research as how much rent will be, grocery, utility, petrol, etc...... Doesn't matter you want to claim or not, for number 3, you should include your work experiences. You need you contract/job offer + 3 months pay slips.
  11. I have been living in Canberra for a number of years, so it definitely different from others who resides other states or from overseas. There is no specific format for writing commitment letter, just mention what do think about Canberra in terms of Job prospect, raise family, any family or friend connections etc.
  12. Thanks MARY :ssign20:. I got visa yesterday. you know, waiting is sometmes very painful, i got sick of waiting, that's why i posted that. Many many thanks again
  13. I Think it will help you to prepare. My agent gave it to me. Please don't try to copy & paste from net, try to be creative & write your own. ACT government requires a “Statement demonstrating your commitment to living in Canberra for a minimum 2 year period.” The statement should include evidence that you have personally researched Canberra’s unique lifestyle, employment opportunities and family attractions and explain how they will suit your way of life more than any other city in Australia. They want you to tell them, in your own words, why you want to live in Canberra. Suggested content: • Why did you choose Canberra over the other options in Australia. eg. o Work opprtunities , o Canberra’s safety, size, clean environment , accommodation o other lifestyle attractions of Canberra over other places. How have you found living/studying/working in Canberra? What did you like about the lifestyle? Do you have friends/relatives who live in Canberra long term? Future plans. eg. To continue to work in Canberra and have a long term job in field of expertise
  14. Thanks mate, its back to old form again
  15. Dont forget to give atleast 5/6 very recent job advertisement with your application.

  17. Hi, I have applied on 28 Nov ( 190 SN ), Medical on 3 December, CO allocated on 17 January, PCC supplied on 18 January upon request from the CO. My medical was referred to a specialist for further assessment. specialist assessment was sent on 9 February, DIAC received the report on 14 February ( Confirmed both from Medibank & DIAC ). I know its a waiting game but do't know how long to wait !
  18. G’Day While checking application progress this morning, I have noticed that the progress status changed to “ Application received’ which was ‘in progress’ before. Moreover all the attachments are gone and stating either Required or requested. Is it normal or just a technical glitch? Has anyone faced same sort of experience? cheers
  19. is there any onshore applicant here whos medical was referred to a specialist and report needs to be send to Immigration Case B team , medibank health solution?
  20. Is there any onshore applicant whose medical was referred & report was sent to Immigration Case B team , MHS ?
  21. there is a condition from the ACT govt that the applicant must choose the ACT only, if he/she chooses multiple states in their EOI then the state nomination application will not be accepted.

    Visa Granted

I'm also waiting for my Visa to be granted ! it was supposed to be granted couple of months back but due to medical referral & ACT nomination drama , I ma still waiting. Congratulations mate, You are a fighter. Honestly speaking your fighting attitude gave me courage congratulation
  23. you need to get the PCC from your home country and/or the countries you lived more the 12 months. different countries have different procedure to get the PCC, DIAc has addressed that in the link you provided.
  24. I'm aware of that. I have noticed that most of them ( 99.9% ) of them are offshore applicant. Applicant from onshore has different Visa medical procedure where we need to go to medibank health solution. I have mentioned that my case was referred to a specialist but for offshore applicants the medical is referred to MOC via global health.
