    New CSOL??

After July 1 No one knows except insider about any change
  3. I was with BUPA when I had 485 visa. It was Basic Visitor Coverage, the cheapest one I found after doing some market research. It used to cover same as Medicare with Ambulance added, cost was appx $178+/month for a family of 2 adult + 2 kids.
  4. Assuming your medical is not referred, as all the necessary docs are submitted; i hope it won't take too much time if you applied through the new system (EOI). Once the CO checks all the Docs and the all the requirements are fulfilled, your visa will be granted very soon. You can ask you agent to send a mail to the CO. In my case, it worked.
  5. yes they did send back my report in an envelop, basically You can open the envelop ( wise not to open ) , as DIAC never asks for the envelop.
  6. The specialist sent the report straightway to Medibank case B team. I did call medibank after 2 weeks and came to that they have received the report and processed that and the report was live in the system for the CO to check. same day, I also gave a call to DIAC regarding this matter and they informed me that they also can see the report and could confirm that the medical was finalized. I asked my agent to send a mail to the CO, he did and the visa was issued after 2 hours.
  7. Its pretty much normal actually, there some case officers who never update the status and status always remain " Requested", it happened not only to me but also to many applicants. If your medical is not referred ( I guess that it didn't as if its referred you would definitely get a mail from them ), your CO can access them electronically, as your medical is done, PCC is provided, I hope you will get a good news very soon. Don't worry about mail back from your CO, its also pretty much normal .
  8. 1)Your medical will be referred because of the anti- depression. I liked your honesty. 2)You will need to do see a psychological assessment by a specialist psychiatrist which will cost several hundred dollars. 3)the psychiatrist will writet a report which cost also several hundred dollars. 4)psychiatrist will send that to global health , once the report is reached to the global health, the MOC will write a clerance and your health exam report will be live in the system and the CO can see that.
  9. In many Countries, After MBBS ( Bachelor ) the student have a choice of doing a Postgraduate academic degree, most of the case the duration of the course is 2 years. the degree they offer is either MD ( Doctor of medicine ) or MS ( Master of Surgery ). These two are Masters level Post graduate degree. PHD is another degree
  10. I'm pretty much sure the CO will ask the IELTS for your wife
  11. Sephie is 100% Correct, Only people with certain countries are exempted. and I'm 100% sure that studying Bachelor in English will not give her any exemption if she doesn't carry any of the passport mentioned in the Booklet. My Wife is also an overseas qualified Dentist, who's BDS was also undertaken in English but she was not exempted. Yes for the ADC, she needs 7 in each band to sit for the part 1 & 2, she can also sit for the OET where she needs to score B in each section in a single attempt. cheers
  12. AFP normally takes very little time to process
  13. Its better to withdraw your application.
  14. what do u mean by positive work assessment?

AMC & ADC skill assessments are different then other bodies. The applicant needs to lodge application for academic degree assessment, if its positive then need to pass Part 1 & part 2 and need to get AHPRA registration after fulfilling some set requirements. AMC/ADC will issue a certificate which you will need to submit to the DIAC as a proof of skill assessment. Then You can lodge the EOI.
  17. I am not Pommi :daydreaming: a bangladeshi, can i come also ?
  18. Mate, i reckon you should discuss this with an experienced migration agent.
  19. there is not cutoff for state nomination but quota for each states & occupation ceiling.
  20. don't worry about it. just print the medical form for the kids, fill that up and bring that with u.
  21. what happens if I apply for the 190 visa after cancelling the student visa ? will my bridging visa be effective ? My Answer: if you apply 190 visa after cancelling student visa, you will be granted Bridging visa E which won't allow you to work. but you can apply for VBA if you can prove to the DIAC that you are in financial hardship and you need to support you self as well as your partner by working.its possible but not easy. but you still can apply for 190 visa if u can fulfill all the reqs and met pass mark. You will still be under Student visa condition even you apply 190 visa while on student visa as the Student visa is stronger then the Bridging visa, briding visa will only applicable to you when the student visa expires. better apply 190 while on stud visa if you can met. don't to diac operators, most of the time they give confusing and self contradicting infos. If you are granted 190 while on student visa your student visa will be ceased and you will be a free bird.
  22. I am not sure about other states, but I am sure about the ACT. you only can choose ACT in the EOI, if you choose more then they will refuse the application.
  23. I guess that you did not read the visa processing steps & necessary infos at all. NO STATES will come forward to nominate you, you need to approach them by applying. They don't have time and interest to look for potential applicants:biggrin: . please check which states have Software tester in their occupation list. if any such exists then apply if you can fulfill their requirements as different states have different criteria that applicants need to satisfy. Once the state nomination is approved 5 points for state nomination will be added to your point and an invitation will be issued by the DIAC automatically to apply for the 190 visa. for example, ACT refers that applicant can ONLY choose ACT, if anyone chooses multiple states they won't nominate that person and application will be happily refused. 60 is the pass mark for the 190 state nominated visa and there are hundreds of people who got visa with 60 points. if you have 60 points, state nomination and fulfill other DIAC requirements you will get the visa. why not ? DIAC did'nt mention any data about cutoff marks for 190 visa, but every states have some quota for every ocuupation. once its reached they just stopped nomination. moreover, DIAC also has occupation ceiling.
  24. ACT govt just checks if you are parmanently residing in Canberra/physical address in canberra. It wont harp you if you do some of your jobs in Canberra & some outside.
