  1. Hi, I am an onshore applicant applied for the SN 190 visa through agent. My medical was referred to a specialist for further assessment. Specialist assessment has been done and the assessment report is already being forwarded to the Medibank Health solution Case B team in Sydney. I am wondering if anyone has same sort of experience !
  2. As a temporary Visa holder I got BUPA's classic visitor cover. We are a family of 4 ( couple + 2 kids ). Paying around $179/month. It gives us same coverage as Medicare as well as ambulance. If you need any extra like dentistry etc. then you need to buy extra cover which will cost extra definitely. BUPA is popular here as it has wide coverage and good service history. There are also some other PVT health insurance providers, as we did shop around to get the cheapest as well as that one which meet our demand. cheers.
  3. you've posted in a wrong place mate, if you post in migration issue then you will get responses
  4. mine was lodged 28 Nov, front end loaded all the docs, the CO asked for some docs which were also uploaded, still set as Required or recommended
  5. When I was an International student, medibank used to cover 100%. As a temporary visa holder, I'm having a basic level pvt insurance which does not make any big difference with medicare. As I am entitled to use Medicare now, I am just wondering if any PVT insurance available which covers the Out of pocket expanses. Sorry for being ignorance as I'm very new with Medicare and private insurance policies. Me or any of my family members dont have any major complications, but no body knows whats coming ! i think freaklease is correct
  6. Hi, Couple of days back I visited my GP and paid his fees from my own pocket. After providing medicare ( As I have applied for the PR ) I got medicare benefit straightway though EFT. As a temporary visa holder I also have a Visitor health cover. My question is, Can I claim from my PVT health insurer for the remaining amount which is excess to the medicare benefit? regards

  8. Hope to see you in Canberra soon I'm in Canberra ....
  9. Its moral but who knows it may changed to Legal in near future !! States like NT, SA or ACT need skilled people. but once ppl get Visa they tend to move to other states. skill shortage in this states never be solved if thins kind of trends keep going. May be in near future states will urge Feds to amend migration laws to make state moving illegal.
  10. Hi, i read on some threads that ppl can check the progress of their application like, documets " MET" Required" etc.......I have tried both of the links to check, one with where we need TRN,dob,PP NO,country; its always give me an error message. other one where we need TRN & PWD, I can see which docs are required/requested & attahced. But I can't see which doc is met, such like that.
  11. Thanks a lot buddy, Medical has been sorted. Unfortunately mine was referred to a specialist. Hopefully it will be fine as My GP said it will be just a formality.
  12. I have been trying  the 1st link, still can't access. for the 2nd one, when I enter all the information, i get a response that its times out or something like that. I have seen in some threads that, ppl can see whih docs are met etc, I'm curious if i can find that also..................................
  13. Here's my story in brief: I have applied from onshore, Family of 4. all others medical were cleared except myself. Mine was referred to a specialist. After further assessment the specialist needs to send the report to Medibank Health solution Case b team. I'm just wondering, when mediback will upload that report to DIAC, will that report still need to pass through the MOC ? if so how long it may take? Last time when I applied for the 485 visa, my medical was also referred. after getting my GP's report it did not take too much time to get the visa.
  14. I tried with that link but still unable to check the progression. but i managed to get the password from my agent and with that i logged in and saw what docs are uploaded and found the status is "processing".
  15. 1) If you are in Australia then you can do before the CO is being allocated, otherwise wait for his/her request. 2) 1 year, Get the AFP before co requests as the CO will definitely ask that. 3) if the doc is colored then no need of certifying, if not then must.
  16. is this the link https://www.ecom.immi.gov.au/inquiry/query/query.do?action=eVisa i need to use to check ?
  17. Hi mate, I have been trying to check the progress of my application for last 2 days. but every time I'm getting this famous message, " This service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later." Anyone facing the same problem? 18. I have already notified my case officer about my specialist assessment & he/she is happy to wait for that. But In the above thread about the applicants from HR countries made me bit tensed as some are waiting for many months. Hopefully my further assessment will be fine as it's just a formality.
  19. I took nearly 18 months to get a Case officer, but once allocated it did not take long, may be 15 days to get my 485 visa. The CO asked all sorts of documents that we normally need to provide for the permanent visa. I have been in Australia for 6 years+.
  20. Mine was lodged on 26 November, A CO is also being allocated,Uploaded all the required Docs, We are a family of 4, others medicals were cleared but mine was not. Mine was referred for further assessment by a specialist. Hopefully everything will be sorted before 25 January. Then another counting game will start.
  21. I do follow that thread, but that thread mostly consists of offshore 175/176 applicants. I am particularly interested in visa subclass 190/189, who applied onshore/offshore.
