  1. Hi all we are about to move to perth in October. We have a decent sum of money for a depisit and I am planning on doing relief supply teaching till I find a permanent position. Can we get a mortgage based on this and does anyone know how Lin we would have to wait till we can apply for a mortgage as my husband doesn't want to rent for too long.
  2. I think I will give dial a ring to check as reading the SA sponsorship visa details it says you need to live in that area for at least 2 years.
  3. Thanks wa has my Job on their new list so that'd be ok work wise hopefully x
  4. Hi I wonder if anyone knows if it is possible to change state sponsorship or live in a different state instead of staying two years in the state you get sponsored by after a visa has come through. We are very lucky and have a visa with ss from SA and this is fab however my sister is moving to wa and she wondered how easy it would be for us to join them there as we both have young children. Is this possible does anyone know? Thanks
  5. Hi I wondered if any primary school teachers got ss from wa? I can't see it on any list at all but was wondering all the same?
  6. THats great news. Congrats. I applied for ss with sa on the 4th July and have 9 ielts and a positive skills assessment for primary teaching. However I only have 65 points . I just wondered if there were any other primary teachers who lodged with ss for sa who have been invited? Also do you know how long it will take from being invited to the visa being granted obviously dependent on Medicals etc? X x Well done looks like you may be on your way x

    Confused

Hi I wonder if any one can explain the difference between the state priority occupation list compared to the wasmol???? There are different occupations in each. Which one is applicable for state sponsorship??? Thanks
  8. I'm 40. Yes sat ielts scored 9 overall. Am worried about teacher exchange as we want it to be permanent as we have young children so want them to be settled. Yep!!! Am not giving up just yet! Thanks for all the advice x x
  9. Ah thanks Millie I think I read the special conditions were you had to have studied in Australia. But I will def ring them on Monday. I am more than happy to apply / send my cv off but I have 4 year old twins so I'm not sure I could take a job within 6 months it would be fine if it was 6 months or more eg after xmAs as hd gave to give up my job , sell house etc but if a school was willing to nominate me that would be great. Been through 4 ofsteds!!! Yuk!!!!
  10. Thanks for all the info. We did want to do ss but no state has primary teaching on their list! They have early childhood as in Pre primary but my skills assess was primary. I can't see a way forward as even with skill select if teaching isn't on the sol now then I don't think they'll be asking teachers to apply!! Trying to be positive but think my options are runnIng out!!!
  11. Hi I am a teacher with 15 years experience. I have got a good score on my ielts and just received a positive skills assessment as a primary teacher!! However I really donot know a route into oz! My brotherinlaw has lodged his visa for general skills and the plan was to go with them but the sol doesn't have primary and now sa doesn't have availability on their state list either! I wonder if anyone has any advice they can offer. Thanks
