I wonder if anyone can help?! I am looking at applying for a Visa as a Early Childhood Teacher but am a bit concerned about getting a job before I land in Oz. Has anyone had experience of gaining a job before they arrived in oz? if so how did you go about it? where there any extra checks you needed? do you apply for a recruitment agency? Any help at all would be great. I am open to do teaching in general when I am in Oz but know its not easy to get into over there.
:no:Hi, I was just looking for some advice regarding Australian qualification recognition for Early Childhood Teachers. I am currently qualified in nvq lvl 2&3 childcare. However I'm hoping to become an early childhood teacher. I have two course options, BA Hons Early Childhood Education leading to QTS (3 year course) Or alternatively, BA Hons Early Childhood Studies (3 years) and a PGCE Early Childhood Education together totalling 4 years study. I am not the main visa applicant and will be newly qualified at the time of the move. Any advice on my best option for recognition as an Early Childhood Teacher in Australia? We are currently considering Adelaide and Perth. Thanks in advance x
I was wondering if anyone has heard if ACT will still sponsor you if you have 2 years relevant experience instead of 3? I think I would meet the rest of their criteria and would have three years by the time I get through visa process! How flexible are they? Also wondering how they fulfil Secial Education part of Primary Teacher - I did SEN on my PGCE Primary Education but having quals assessed under Primary School Teacher code, which is the same code as the Primary School Teacher on their SMP. Would appreciate views from anyone who knows?
Guest posted a topic in Visa ChatHello All! I am just about to complete my English Literature degree and I've been applying for PGCE courses. It has always been my ambition to move over to Australia, and I was just wondering if anyone had any advice as to whether it would be best to train in Australia or to train in the UK then go over to Australia. I've had a look on the Internet but mostly I'm just finding companies who want to sell me something rather than give me information! Thank you in advance, Fiona Morrison
