1. We have lived here for 8 months now and from one end of Canberra to another takes no more than 50mins or so drive. What an exciting time for you
2. For those of you who are not happy in their state/town in Oz - have you thought of trying a different state first before you return to UK? We live in Canberra and it really is a hidden gem - so beautiful and very friendly.
3. We emigrated from UK to Canberra november 2011 and really enjoying it, i do understand though if it is not for you it si not for you. How long you been here and can you shed some light on why you want to go home?
4. Hi Ali, We emigrated here november 2012 and love it. we are in the district of Belconnen and love it. South is also nice but quieter. Its a Good idea to get short term accommodation at first so you can looka round and decide where you wish to live, also you heva somewhere warm, clean and ready for you as soon as you arrive that very first night. THanks Judith

7. Hi - very hard to find rental unless you are here yourself to look at it and book it. We may have a 3 bed furnished house for you to use for short term whilst you look for something - it is in Melba. pm me if you are interested.
8. I spent 6 months living in melbourne and now 7 months in canberra. I would vote canberra everytime. in general melbourne is much wetter, dirtier, busier, hectic, poorer roads and stress. Canberra is perfect for young families and i just love all the trees and open spaces. Are you in need of short term rental for when you arrive as we have a 3 bed furnished home for use?
9. i am a newly qualified peadiatric nurse - via 3 year diploma at UK University. What are my chances of finding sponsorship without any post qualifying nursing experience. i have 10 years experience in childcare and teaching assisstant

11.
Hi - thanks for getting in touch. we are busy doing car boot sales and trying to sell our house - can't beleiev we only have about 14 weeks left to get everything done!!!. After the riots in UK over the last 5 days I must say I wish we could bring our flight closer, just cannot believe how low people can be to others. There is just no morals or respect left here in the uk. Anyway, so looking forward to getting there and arranging a meet up for us all - there seems to be a few families with young children who are fairly new to CAnberra and we could all do with friends. TTFN
