No I am still in Las Vegas..Trying very hard to convince my wife to go to Australia. I am afraid she has to see the economic collapse in front of her very own eyes before she will make up her mind though..The events that will transpire in the year 2012 ought to convince her beyond a reasonable doubt. LOL.

Australia Will Not Go Into a Recession
vegastomelbourne replied to vegastomelbourne's topic in Money & Finance
I appreciate all the insightful inputs by the fellow forum members. I was recently offered admission to an executive mba program at Zurich Switzerland about 6 weeks ago. That is the main reason that I had to delay my matriculation to my Melbourne post-doctoral program until feb of 2013. Flying back and forth between Zurich and Las Vegas every two weeks will be the norm for me from now on. At least for the next 52 weeks or so... I will jump in occassionally to say hello to our wonderful forum members. Cheers and thank you. -

I couldn't agree with you more !! The financial elites gambled away our future, and now they want to implement austerity measures to make us pay for their mistakes..2012 is going to be a tumultuous year for all of us. I apologize for injecting politics into our conversation. -

Thanks Fish...You are correct in a sense that stock market performance has somewhat decoupled from reality. Street intel paints a more accurate picture for us peasants.. -
I am delighted to make your acquaintance. Can't wait to start my life over down under !!

Funny isn't it ? Took me forever to find this thread..and I am a semi-retired dentist from US. I never realized Aussie dental care is just as expensive as the States. I shall work in the public health sector upon graduation from the Melbourne's Special Needs Dentistry Program. Looking forward to share ideas and/or complain to fellow forum members..

Hi Laura: I am a semi-retired US trained dentist that was recently offered admission by the University of Melbourne post-doctoral Special Needs Dentistry Program. I just deferred my matriculation to Feb of 2013 as I first need to take time to sort things out at Las Vegas...Feel free to forward any of your questions or concerns to this thread. If I can't help you, maybe my future professors can..
