Hi, We applied for a 489 visa with sponsorship from qld that's been granted, but the visa grant states we can live and work anywhere in australia except Sydney, Newcastle, Wollongong and central coast in NSW Brisbane and gold coast Perth and surrounding areas Melbourne Capital territory I was under the impression we had to move to queensland, is this not the case?

hi all, just going through the ahpra application with my wife and see a section about impairment, my wife had an injury meaning she currently cant work on labour ward, but has no issues working on antenatal wards, and the hospital she works at are happy with this, are ahpra likely to decline her application? would it be worth calling them? Cheers

Hi all, Might be the wrong page but I was wondering if anyone knows if the documentation for ahpra is the same as anmac, except the cv? Which is something I'm trying to find an example of too. Any help or advise would be great.

We were asked for a form 80 but only for our 18 yr old all the other 5 they didn't require one.

Are you sure you have to do another assessment in au, from what I read you do a test on computer then you get a job and have and are assessed on the job and just submit reports. See attached Step-by-Step-Process-for-overseas-trained-practitioners-January-2017.pdf

My did hers before, call them and ask if you can email everything, if your not using an agent and your in the uk, call a local solicitor tell them what your doing as most will do it for a set price there's quite a lot of documents you will need them to be certified a solicitor, get 2 copies 1 for your skills easement and 1 for regulatory body that gives you your pin or license to work, if you have to get your pin (if you have one now) sent out ask if they can email it or sent via courier recorded, that's what we have done for anmac which makes aphra easier. Ours was completely different to yours though, is there nowhere you can do it in the uk? Have you completed your English test? Ielts Have you got an agent?

It was on their list, plus I have a friend in cairns who said they're desperate for midwives at the moment and it proved to be true.

I think you'll find the process quicker than you think, just make sure you load all your police and health checks when you first apply for the visa

NSW don't charge for schooling Ina 489 which is good - New South Wales A holder of a 489 visa is not required to pay the administration or education fees. They are required to have an Authority to enrol issued to the school before they are able to start school.

That's for 189 visas 489 are different the state sponsorship is based on whether they want your occupation and how badly they need it, we got our acceptance within 1 week because qld need midwives.

We did, but with the 489 once the your invited to apply the points are less important

We got our eoi within a week and got our grants yesterday in all took 5mths

The government has an agreement to recover their debt with australia and student loans is one of them, credit cards and loans can't be recovered unless the bank have a presence in Australia

Hi all, Our visas were approves yesterday, we're looking at moving between august and november, when would be a good time open an account in au? And who with?

Supposed to get to 1.90+ in august and ove $2 to the £ in Jan 2019

Just had a call from our agent, we received our visa grant today from apply for our visa (not including our state sponsorship) to receiving our grand the total was 5mths and 3 weeks. rough timeline- IELTS - taken in July 2017 Applied for state sponsorship QLD - 06/11/17 State sponsorship approved QLD - 09/11/17 Medicals and Police checks - 29/11/17 Visa application submitted - 07/12/17 CO contact for more info - 19/02/18 Additional info submitted 27/02/18 Visa granted 24/04/18 So so so excited.

Holly molly, what are they doing in the visa department in oz? Everything seems to take months or years, the uk takes days, in fact the uk process most of theirs in 48hrs.

We're moving to regional qld so that's one thing out of the way but what regional work would he have to do? how long for to be signed off? & who signs it off?
