  7. i thought i knew where i wanted to go then we validated our visas and now i havent got a clue, i keep writing down what we want in an area , what schools we liked and also what would let the area down for us and i am just going round in circles............ because of the rental situation i worry that i will choose an area and then not be able to get a rental lol ohhhh to not worry about visa things anymore.......i would like to just worry about normal things again jools xx
  8. hi judy q we had to validate in june as we had our meds done early as advised then it all went pear shape, sold hs last year then had to pull out because got taken of list and visa looked like it wouldent happen, then visa turned up in april with a period of two months to validate all in all this has been going on for four years and im ready to get off the rollercoaster now....... i know everybody is frustrated but it does help to see other people in the same position misery likes company:biggrin: jools xx
  9. hi we are in the same position:arghh: we live in kent and have had the house on the market since april, had no veiwings for almost four months so changed agents and lowered by ten grand......result loads of veiwings = loads of tidying but so far no offers and feedback has been great everyone likes the house one guy said it was too hot in the front, and another said the road had too much traffic on but these are all things i cant change. cant afford to lower our price any more as we want to be able to buy in oz without having a masssive morgtage (getting on a bit now) renting is out of the question, so feeling quite frustrated at the moment and i must say a bit depressed living in limbo.....just wanna get there now  GOOD LUCK TO ALL YOU OUT THERE TRYING TO SELL XX

hi have you tried stayz and elite villas we booked thru both of these and there good holiday lets can be expensive but you have to remember you just need a base, were trying to get out in late jan early feb but not sold hs yet so that might change good luck jools x

  14. hi nat, we stayed in woodvale the first time we went realy nice area, older houses but then that usually means bigger plots, in fact the hs we stayed in would be perfect for you guys when you first go i think it had 5 or 6 bed rooms and a pool will look it up for you:wink:. wooddvale was really central to beach perth joondalup and it has a few restaurants garages shops and parks of its own. drove thru kinross when we were ther this time and i couldent get a feel for it realy, have been told by a lady at drovers that it is little scotland, it was big but emma says the clinic was very good and as you know the school seems to have a good rep:smile: jools Xx
  15. good luck thats a hefty drop so should get you somewhere where i live is in a bit of a slump nothing moving and we cant afford to drop much lower been on the market five months now:arghh: jools x

ohh im soo sorry that is just horrible, the thought of someone in the house while you sleep is a nightmare come true i hope you move soon so you can have peace again jools x
  17. yanchep to joondalup was probably 20-30 mins depending on traffic the first time we went it diddent feel too far but it might feel different everyday:twitcy:, there was a lot of projects as well as alkimos unless there all under the same umbrella to name a fer i remember was trinity, jindowie, jindelee (probably all spelt wrong ) capricorn is also still building but more established and that is in yanchep itself...... your right though you really do need to be there to get a feel for the areas but i like to get every opinion and then check it out also good luck jools x
  18. hi aimie was butler school not too good then, i had that one on my good list  im going round in circles all i know at the moment is i want too go north.....might just get a camper van and travel from place to place lol jools x
  19. hi riknbev, we are heading out early next year and when we went out to validate in june we stayen nor in mindaire which was lovely we liked the look of buttler so we had a look at the school there in the brighton estate and was realy impressed with both the school and the head who was very helpfull. there are two schools there we also went to yanchep as we were thinking of building our own hs near there that school was quite a bit older and very big but i have heard good things about it. butler is still quite a way out and we would need two cars as the train line stopped at clarkson i beleive, i always get warned off clarkson by friends over there already (dont know why) quinns rock was nice aimie has her boys at one of the schools but i heard the other was not so good. this is all hearsay info and not first hand information as i am still in the uk and researching so feel free to put me straight lol jools x
  20. were hoping to move to perth jan feb time as well just waiting on selling the house (which is so stressfull) we have our visas, we are looking to going north of perth but have still not decided yet we would love to get to know some people as well..... we are ..... me jools 40yrs young paul also 40 but older then me zackery 6 and josh 4 im a hairdresser and paul is a painter and decorator
  21. CONGRATULATIONS:jiggy: better late then never....... so glad to see youve got it at long last...... were on our way to wa as well as soon as the house sells so hope to see you one day  jools x
  22. we will definatly rent in oz at first becuase we want to build but we still need to sell here or we would have no money to set up(and my hubbie does not like the idea of renting out in the uk !i have tried!) were taking everything with us have had pss round recently and were even thinking of taking the car in a 40 ft container as that should help with keeping set up fees down just need to sell the bl**dy house:arghh: jools xx
  23. realy great to read a positive post we are hoping to move to perth as soon as we sell our hs....we are not going to be better off, and i dont care for designer clothes, we want an adventure and we want to bring the boys up in a more relaxed culture and outdoor lifestyle...... but what does worry me is the work situation my hubbie is a painter and decorator (multi trade in uk)and although i can get work in my proffesion it is not enougth to look after us for too long.... and like someone said, we started this about three years ago and with the exchange rate now the money we will be taken has gone down by £75000 thats a hell of a lot... but i dont see it getting any better:arghh: so weighing all the facts we still cant wait to go and start our adventure:twitcy: jools
