  1. Oh I see I am afraid I am doing mine myself so didn't use an agent and couldn't tell you- it is likely though that you will be applying under the new skillselect program. Others who have used this agent will advise you better than I. When appointing an agent it is worth doing research and finding if they have a good or bad reputation and are mara registered before handing over money though. it is not to hard to work out if you are eligible to apply you know! if you go on the DIAC website and look at the new points test and the skillselect pages you could work it out! i am sure they will get back to you soon.
  2. Do you think it is for all the state sponsored visas or 475s in particular lebourvellac?
  3. Hi i have not been able to do my meds in the 28 days due to partners shifts etc plus i sent off for the pccs prior to the bankholiday weekend - as a result I sent copies of the apt confirmation and my proof of postage for the police info as in the info i received it said you have to respond and can provide this type of proof if not able to meet the 28 day deadline. One poster has however received in her request advise to get the info back in 7 days if possible due to her occupation reaching its cap I believe.
  4. Think you need to be more specific- assessment for skill and if so what or for a visa application and if so what class/type?
  5. as the period he is covering in this way is so short and his other employment evidence will be very strong I think it is highly likely that they will accept the stat declaration as well as the employers letter even though it is limited in information because it is clear that he was employed and that he is someone with a very strong employment history which is evidenced. You could run this point via a migration agent as part of an initial consultation which is usually free. Others have had to provide stat decs for more lengthy periods and it would really be worth others who have had similar experiences good or bad posting here?
  6. I you cant get evidence from the employer the other ways are through wage slips, bank records and his end of year tax statements- another way or in addition would be to do a statutory declaration for this period!
  7. as our passport pages had photos on them it looks like they just accepted this as photo evidence anyway! prior to getting a case officer it showed as a requirement but before we had time to obtain them it showed as met when the CO was assigned!
  8. Have you noted that there are changes for all international students and most will have easier screening processes jack, will you be affected by this?! http://www.immi.gov.au/students/reduction-student-visa-assessment-level.htm
  9. Hi the UK has the lowest screening possible - they have a published list of screening requirements for students on the site. I am exploring this area as I have two close relatives who wish to study in OZ- it was easy to google it all just took a little time.
  10. As I said above DIAC do assess your employment experience anyway- if you want to get an assessment done by the skills authority it can only provide an advice letter to DIAC. DIAC make the final decision and do assess your work experience anyway. There is no other way to get to it assessed before, are you worried about it not meeting their criteria? To be honest I have seen posts where people have discovered that DIAC does not agree with the findings of the assessing authority either!
  11. if you are claiming points for employment evidence then you need to provide info for each year you are claiming i sent a wage slip for every period of 6 mths and an end of year tax statement plus an employers letter outlining my duties and length of employment this has been accepted
  12. may be stating the obvious but make sure all the duties you list under each job you are claiming experience points for match the skill you have nominated
  13. lots are going it alone and if you have a straightforward case it shouldn't be too difficult it depends how much you are willing to research- Go Matilda has an excellent reputation and if you feel less confident you can still use a migration agent. However I and many many others do not! Even if your visa was granted tomorrow you would have 12 months to get over! the thing is you need to be be sure you will get the points you need - turning 40 would mean less points so you may wish to consider this. There is a new system coming into play in July under skill select- I would go to this page on the DIAC web site and start looking at the different visa options-look at the points test too. if you know what visa you were going to apply under people would help you!
  14. hi it is Diac who determine your work experience so even if you receive an assessment letter from the skills authority it will still be assessed. i didnt bother and lots havent - it may change in the future but why spend it if you dont need to and save time too. Diac will ask for the same evidence anyway
  15. They are looking for this to match with your evidence so I would put it in!
  16. http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/skilled-workers/_pdf/pes-faq.pdf this refers to age/english language exemptions on pages 6-7
  17. I sent you the quote link I just copied it off the site- I don't know who they are or what they do-so I couldn't say whether what they print or their service reliable or not!
  18. If you haven't been allocated a case officer yet then the system automatically asks for these forms -when my CO was assigned some of these forms disappeared, and most of the other requests were marked as met as I had uploaded everything- with regard to employment even if the case officer requests these it does not mean necessarily that you have to down load every pay slip - i just did the p60 for each year and a wage slip per every 6 mths - plus my letters from my employer to cover my dutys etc. Some people do get asked ot fill in form 80 etc and some dont i do not know why! I got into a tangle over scanning etc and would share your pain! However on the 176 may thread if you go back to around 18-19-20 you will see some useful suggestions from to0Z12 to scan docs as pdf files etc so you could do them in batches.
  19. http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/pdf/points-tested-migration-fact-sheet.pdf does look like theres a chance for more points with Oz studies!
  20. The list is supposed to be published in June but cant find it yet! http://www.minister.immi.gov.au/media/cb/2012/cb183659.htm- indicates under what we are doing that there will be one list http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/skilled-workers/_pdf/perm-sponsored-reforms.pdf - indicates a broader range of occupations for regional employers to access I copied from a legal site in Australia 'DIAC will Introduce a consolidated occupations list (CSOL) which is made up of 457 employer sponsored occupations list, ENS employer sponsored list and state sponsored list .It will be a bigger occupations list than what we are used to. This will be going into group 6 on this new list. If this eventuates there will be lot more winners than losers due to higher number of occupations. If you need a trades person in your business, you don't need exceptional circumstances any more, it's part of the new programme. The Minister has agreed in principal on occupations on CSOL. CSOL will be published soon. There will be exemption categories such as Age, Skill, English. This will be driven off a new legislative instrument. This will include religious workers, scientists and academics. If it's not in the new instrument, then it’s not available.' fingers crossed it could herald exciting times and more opportunities for people.
  21. http://www.comlaw.gov.au/Details/F2012C00181 Volume six schedule 6 lists the points test features-doesn't look as though its changed -have they indicated any changes other than the educational and employment thresholds?
  22. I believe you can remove people prior ot the visa being granted so I would do a search on diacs site to do find out how to do this there is usually a form
  23. Sometimes you have to come back to find out it isn't right! Previously the fees would have been a deciding factor but as you will have to pay these wherever you go they are not! what you could do is consider deferring for a year if the Uni will let you then you could go off on an amazing adventure and see if you can make it work!
  24. Pretty much everywhere except perth is considered regional have you checked the areas you picked are considered regional on the diac web site? it will give list of post codes if you do a search.
  25. I would send off for your skills assessment now - it can take absolutely ages. I would also book in for my IELTs as you don't know if you will pass first time and may need to retake them this will enable you to express an interest under the new scheme- as if you are picked you only have a limited time in which to launch our application -it is all on the skill select page on the immigration web site good luck!
