You still trying to plug that company? I always thought you couldn't apply for an ARTC untill you are in Australia? And its actually called an ETL course and it usually takes around 3 months for your application to be processed!

Well we all touched down in Sydney on Friday morning oz time, staying here to Monday then driving up to singleton, got a week off then start work on the 18th of feb. can't wait to get into it. I know people on this site think I'm a bullshitter but I have to thank livethedreamaustralia for the work that they have put in for me and getting me to oz.

I love how you still keep plugging the company in every post!

Lol I noticed that, also I did a little search on this company and I wouldn't be giving them ANY of my money l, there are old threads on here about them and one guy did a little research and they're a company inside a company inside another company with some pretty dodgy looking claims of non existent MARA agents

Any company that claims to work miracles yet hides itself signing 3 other companies is bad news if you ask me.

Just a wee update on my time in oz, that's me been here 4 weeks and its been great, still waiting to be booked onto my artc but been kept busy with getting my tickets for my high risk licences and doing all the inductions to be able to enter the mines, it's like been back at school but I can complain. A lot of studying required but as the say no pain no gain, the more tickets I can get the better.

If you are for real bph then good on you mate. It's going to happen for some, right place right time, like you say. That's how most people get jobs in reality, I've had quite a few different ones in my time and most have been through word of mouth and people I knew. Doesn't work any differently here to the UK either, just when you get here you don't know anyone until you've been in a job and a trade for a while.

My son is a sparkie, apprentice trained here. After a couple of years getting some experience with local companies he decided he wanted a mining or oil and gas job, went to an agency, who suggested doing a couple of extra courses. Paid off immediately as he met a guy on the first course who worked for a company who were recruiting. Told my son to ring his boss, went for an interview the following week and he's been up in Port Hedland on a 8x6 swing ever since. Right place right time.

Yeah I'm for real I wouldn't come on here and talk **** or try to kid people on. I wouldn't like it to happen to me so I wouldn't give out false info to try and con people, your right about the right time and right place if I hadn't spoke to livethedreamaustralia I wouldn't be in oz just now and I'm not trying to plug the company, I've got no shares in them lol but they did get me here within a year. We are in singleton just now Paul, small we town but got everything in it that we need couldn't ask for much more.

Still gotta get the company name in there eh? I have never heard of anyone studying for tickets here, you turn up do a course and go home with a ticket. I should know i have a high risk license too. If you are going to lie about training make sure you know the facts. You have to do 1 years gap training in NSW. You don't book on to an ARTC. You apply for it first then you enrol for gap training at TAFE.

Colin you don't half talk crap for my forklift and ewp I had three days of training for each of them with 75 questions and a practical on the last day so it would seem u are the one that hasn't got a clue. It's actually funny reading the crap u write it makes my day lol, think u should go and have a lie down and give your brain a rest. :biglaugh:

Must have been pretty intense courses! Usually they are just one day courses!

I done EWP about a month ago and it was a 1 day course and yes i have a high risk license. The thing that really gives you away is that you have only ever posted on this thread and every second quote you put a company name in. Anyone reading this thread should be very wary about claims of paying company's to find you a sponsor. There is another large thread on here with a number of people who have been ripped off by another company claiming to provide a similar service.
