I am so excited this week, I'm hoping all the July applicants will have case officers by the end of March:biggrin: Thanks jaffas1. I couldn't quite believe it this morning, had to log out and log in to check it again just to make sure. Seems like such a long time ago that we applied. Am really pleased that they are moving at a faster speed than their official timeline indicates. Just waiting for email from our agent now which will hopefully come in the next few days.... Guest obelixous
Mummy Mann we have just spoken to our agent as we have been asked to provide further work experience evidence. We thought the same as you that we have provided everything - 2 references, letter from HR, bankstatements, payslips etc. Our agent said that DIAC like to have recent work refs, payslips etc and told us to submit updated copies of all of these. They said that this was a usual request from DIAC to prove that you are still in the profession doing the same hours etc. Hope this helps x Endorse the above, my agent said the same for me too. I have phoned the diac local office this morning and they have told me to ring Adelaide tonight and ask them. Hopefully after a phone call something should change ;0) x

Guest Hurls10802
Somehow I think you will have good news later this evening. Just drop in at the off licence on the way home and get ready to celebrate. If there is no news, keep the drink on ice for a day or two! Best of luck

Was it because you provided the same references from your skills assessment and they appeared to be a bit outdated? Unless by recent you mean that the DIAC wants to know you're still at the same job, which doesn't make sense to me considering that they only care about what you were doing at the time you applied not today 5-6 months later after we had submitted the application. Thanks ahead of time for clarifying!

Thanks ahead of time for clarifying! This seemed a bit strange to us as well especially as the letter from DIAC asked for work experience for the 12 months prior to application. Our agent has assured us however that they actually want references etc to prove that you have continued to work in the same profession. We are just going along with it and hoping for the best.
jpzante
Jambos, If you count 12 months from the date you applied backwards, were you on the same occupation you were assessed? I believe that is important as it is being asked in the first part of the online application. - John Paul http://towardsaustralia.blogspot.com Chronicles of my Independent Skilled Migration Application to Australia
