  1. Hope you hear something soon Bloomberg. Your patience is admirable. :wubclub: .
  2. Big congrats to Sol2oz and midwife2005 on your grants................... bloomberg you have to be next!!!!!!!!
  3. Thank you for all the best wishes folks! Bloomberg, I was sure you would hear something before us. Im sure you will hear something this week! And Staceylacey, we had ABFP for a month or more before the CO contacted us, but when they did contact us it was only to ask for meds and pccs, Im sure that they were sifting through and verifying the work experience and the other docs in the 'ABFP period' though! They probably dont need to ask you for any other stuff at the moment! Go on, be optimistic! lol!
  4. WooHoo! :goofy::laugh::biglaugh:! VISA APPROVED!!!!!!!!! Please turn me purple Flo and update me as per my timeline signature!!! Im so pleased that I got sent the link to this thread back in January! What a fantastic support network we have here! All the best to thread members past, present and future!!!! I need to go and celebrate now!!!!!!
  5. Hopefully we wont be too far behind you either!!!!!!!
  6. Thanks Sol2oz! Ours were uploaded electronically on the same day we had the medicals by the doctor (in UK). He said he would collate the evidence and start to upload it that afternoon. They were shown on the online status as 'received' 24 hours later. although i think they seem upload different parts of the medicals as they get the results - the HIV tests werent shown as received until a week later - i just assume thats because the results of the blood test dont come back instantly. I dont know if the doctor actually physically sends the paper forms to sydney?. They show as 'further medical results finalised' on the front page and different dates below saying ' further medical results received, and 'HIV test results received' on the dates they must have been uploaded by the doctor (?). The kids were finalised first but i guess thats because they were waiting on the results of the HIV test. As soon as that was in they were 'finalised'. On the "document check list" page everything is still showing as required! lol! so im not paying too much attention to this now as I know they have got everything! I think those are just boxes they tick off when they grant your visa?? So in other words, im not too sure what they do when they are not uploaded, I try not to guess with the DIAC their working practices are a complete mystery to me! lol! At least you know they are in the correct place?! Im sure you will hear something shortly. Hope i didnt waffle on too much there .........................................
  7. all our medicals are now finalised!! :em4500:
  8. thank you! youve hit the nail on the head there! lol! we are now so grateful of any movement, however small! .
  9. hope so Mattster! yeh, they have everything now. Its all in their hands! both the kids meds are now showing as finalisedmine and the OH are both showing as received as of yesterday, so hopefully they will be finalised sometime soon. We uploaded pccs as soon as we got them back and the originals were flown out on the same day (last tues) so they should be somewhere in Oz by now! All the other documents were sent last June when we applied! its been a long haul but we're getting used to this waiting room lark! lol!. I bet youre still on cloud 9! lol!
  10. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hopefully we are not too far behind you! All the best! :biglaugh:
  11. Please could you update us SHandGH, Meds submitted: 14/05/12 PCC uploaded: 15/05/12 thank you!
  12. Just checked the online status and it says "14/05/2012 - Further Medical Results Received". :em1100:. A step in the right direction. It must be computer generated or they work some strange hours atthe DIAC! lol! either way I'm always pleased to see updates on the application!
  13. a quick update: PCCs have been sent off ( 2 weeks ago - it really does take 10 working days!) - we've received an email from them to say they would be returned to us next week sometime. We attended our medicals this morning. OMG! What an experience!! A complete MOT!! LOL! Wear your best underwear, they are very thorough!!! Its all out of our hands now. We're in the waiting room again!!!
  14. Oh i am slow! i notice you figured this outalready! lol! And WOW!!!! Congratulations to all who have had grants!!! i havent been on for a couple of days and look what happens!! lol!!! Hopefully we will be joining you all soon in the 'purple' gang!! Just a quick update; We have arranged our medicals for 12th May and have sent our PCCs off! all exciting!!
  15. go to "SETTINGS" and edit signature! It took me a while to figure it out too!!
  16. Tell me about it breilly! lol! And I now have an answer to a question you asked me a few days ago. Yes we are in the care of Team 2!
  17. Hi All! Just a quick update, our agent has finally recieved an email from our CO requesting meds :emoticon_doctor_sna and PCCs :policeman:! We have been advised that we now have 28 days to get them done, after waiting what seems like "forever" for the email ,it now seems that 28 days is nothing and will soon be gone. Better get sorted then!
  18. They didnt tell us the name of the CO or what team they are on- just a confirmation that we have one. See what I mean by "not 100% helpful" lol!
  19. Lol! Congratulations in order either way! (AND YES I THOUGHT IT SAID "PREGNANT" TOO!!!!!):biglaugh:
  20. we telephoned the DIAC ourselves (without asking the agent) they will talk to you about your case but it seems to be just generalised info and they dont really tell you any more than you can see for yourself on the website. They basically told us not to worry - our case is being dealt with and that they would request further info through our agent. Not 100% helpful but at least it made us feel that we were being dealt with by humans and not computers! lol! if you see what I mean?
  21. Everything still showing as "required". We are waiting for our CO to request the medicals. :daydreaming:
  22. Just a quick update on our situation: We still havent received any communication from DIAC after changing to ABFP on Feb 24th ie No email from CO to our agent or us. We called the DIAC this morning to enquire how our case is going, the advisor on the other end confirmed that we HAVE been assigned a case officer around a month ago, our application is currently going through " routine checks" and we can be "rest assured" that our application is currently being worked on. Reassuring to know but still so frustrating!!!!!!! The wait continues...............................
  23. hi mattster155, As we are based in stoke on trent we will not be using the clinic you are for meds however being based quite centrally, we have got t6he option of either manchester or birmingham clinics (they dont do it in stoke) we havent booked anything yet but have had a phone around for the prices ( it varies a little bit depending on the clinic - some have 'special offers' on like kids under 10 go free and off the top of my head the quotes were between 600.00 / 700.00 GBP (we are a family of four) so not a cheap day out. oh and if any of you have any piercings (other than earlobes) or tattoos they add a bit more on. One of the many hurdles we have to jump for a new life down under! Sorry i dont know anything about your particular clinic but i hope that gives you an idea of price. - we were really lacsidasical and only found out the cost of meds recently! ouch! that price was for all of us btw - NOT each! lol!
  24. tried this. No email .
  25. no we havent uploaded meds or pccs yet, we are awaiting advice from our agent as when to get them sorted. It is a little frustrating to say the least! yes it is B.S!!!!!! grrrr! lol!
