Hi,

Have you received your COC from Singapore Police Force yet?

Not yet. But they did email me last week to say it has been processed and sent to print. So hopefully i should be receiving this week.

i waited almost a month for it! Don't know why it took that long. On that web, it said 10 days. But better late than never .

Hi Guys. Long-time server here .... Happy to see that lines are moving on. Congratulations to all who have got their case officers/grants. My life has moved on somewhat - nearly 5 years in December. My sister probably thinks we were joking when all that time ago we said we would join her. It is difficult to feel genuine when you say that it is the Australian Government's policy that is to blame (politics - as soon as they get involved it tends to make one or two people very rich and most suffer from it). People here in England are laughing at us, thinking we have been rejected. It is quite a bottomless pit, actually. Anyway, I thought I'd share some news here with all my fellow Poms in Ozzers. In November last year I had been diagnosed with Basal Cell Carcinoma (skin cancer). That was after I had a biopsy done on my face near my nose. I was left with an unsightly scar. Since then I'd been recalled to have some more skin taken away. This time it was a great surgeon, who managed to leave me with a somewhat large, but very well hidden scar. Very recently the Top Surgeon called me for a meeting to say that they had managed to remove all the cancer!!! That feeling was like winning the lottery ten times over (who said money is everyting!). Anyway, after that and having bought a new house here in Good Old Blighty I am in a bit of a quandry.... Do things > happen for a reason?

So sorry to hear about your health troubles and relieved to hear that all is now clear. I always watch for your updates and noticed you had been absent for a while. Your timeline is almost identical to our daughters. 475FS, Marketing Specialist, UK citizen, applied 16 Oct 2008 - just 2 months before yourself. Hang in there and stay positive.

Good luck for the future, Kazza xx

It seems like a standard replied from them. They did reply to my email saying it has been processed and sent to print. Give them a call and you will hear different answer. I spoke to three people, all have different answers. I don't know what they are trying to achieve by delaying it. They took the application fee and also the postage. They are so proud of handling things quick, simple straight forward, etc. However it is not the case for handling the COC. May be because we are not their citizen......

The answer to your question is yes. However current processing dynamics are holding you guys back. There is a chance of some degree of positive movement in this quarter of the program year though. So stay positive mate.

Are you paper based or online ??

If paper based then just sit tight..if online then push it with Diac as they have already reached 31 aug 13 online applications...putting written complaint is not going to do much as it will take upto a month to get a response..

Does a case officer take into account IELTS score when she/he is accessing someone application?

Higher score will be first allocated/processed?.

Does anyone know if I have to send the original PCC from Singapore to case officer?. Usually the PCC is sent directly by Singapore Police to case officer, but in my case It was picked up by my relative and I gave it to my agent. My Agent did not sent the original PCC, they just scanned it and upload it. I am pretty sure that it works with other PCCs, but I am afraid it is different story with PCC from Singapore. They usually send it directly to case officer. (I am online applicant)

Thank you for your kind words. Yes, we certainly have been waiting quite a bit now. Had I known this in the first place I would have bought a new car with the money I have paid DIAC and forgot about the process. A lot can happen in 5 years - I hear some have even had children and changed their family circumstances. Does anyone know anything about Skin Cancer and once it is all clear how you go on with the medicals? Any help here would be highly appreciated. Good Luck to all of us still stuck in this endless queue.
