New Category 5's - Where are you now?

I was told by my agent that the updates about 885 online being processed until 8 of June are not exactly true and they are picking up randomly ....is that true beacuse I have lodged it on 15/7/09 and was wondering wether i shud go ahead with AFP and overseas clearance ...

You are delaying your PR yourself. AFP and Medical both are valid for 1 year so why not get it done rightaway.

885 visa issued today 7th June

lodged March 2009

team 33

CO 10th March

police checks + medical lodged 4th June

What a nonsense the whole fiasco has been, after all the waiting due to the retrospective visa changes, DIAC (probably not their fault) is now pushing all these visas through at speed. Delighted and relieved at finally getting the visa, but why the senseless 3 year 3 month wait. and wonder what has changed that finally these visas are being processed. Did the threat of a court action have anything to do with it?

Good luck to every one from cat 5 who is still waiting for their visas and hope you all get good news soon.

They are processing very fast indeed nowadays. I was told that its something to do with the new policy which takes effect on 1 July 2012. Maybe there is a quota that they have to fill in by the end of this FY?!

Congratulations!!

I checked the progress of our Online application and although we are now State Sponsored 176 in Cat. 5, we do not have a CO as of yet. This contradicts the table above.

There are rumors that DIAC is just filling up places for this financial year and are allocating P5 randomly and they would stop allocating after 30 June, it so confusing was thinking to get my AFP and medicals done as i filed 15 July 09 for 885 online and now this rumor comes up ....

It can't be possible ,someone gave you the wrong information. They had increased the quota for 2012-2013 financial year to 190,000.

They have to fill al the places and you will see most of the priority five applications will be processed. so you do need to panic.

Original 176 Family Sponsored was submitted in October 2008, converted to State Sponsorship and submitted to DIAC on the 30th April.

Hey

I'm in the same situation as you.

was a 176 Family Sponsored, lodged in June 2009, paper application, was in CAT 5.

Got State sponsorship from Victoria(SMP).

Victoria emailed me on the 12 of April saying, they have emailed DIAC the form 1100, since then I haven't heard anything from DIAC?

did you confirm with DIAC that your application has been moved to CAT 3?

or did you hear anything from DIAC after sending form 1100?

thanks in advance

Assistance needed: my brother lodged 487

in May-10

regional state sponsored from northern inland

profession comm welfare. Enquired DIAC yesterday and advised that region has not forwarded form No 1100 to DIAC and in this case DIAC is unable to allocate case officer without form 1100.

Is anyone in similar situation who has not assigned CO yet?

Is it applicant's responsibility to secure this form from region and provide to DIAC?

Is anyone advised by this region to live and

work full time to get this form?

Is it mandatory to live and work to get this form?

Is any state sponsored applicant without CO?

Please help if you could
