LOL Pablo, the grass is always greener

As for the service men and woman, IMHO it's the government that should be looking after them, it seems the great men and woman that lfight for this country get screwed by them from start to end!

No Geoff, were all just conditioned to accept the way things are imo,i will/cant ever accept that one family own what they do,the land, castles, stately homes etc,its wrong to me.

If others like yourself think we should honour and respect the royal family thats up to you,me? ive got a hundred times more respect for the lollipop woman outside a school than i have for the royal family, they have'nt done anything to earn my respect, end of.

Dont care what anybody says I love my queen, I have a huge respect for her, as many countries around the world have, she works hard, and I know she has people waiting on her etc etc, but you know what she has in my opinion worked hard for the good of her country, and its people, and when one day she is no longer with us she really will be missed.

I for one certainly wouldn't want to have to live my life in a fish bowl and have every action scrutinised by the worlds media and then to add insult to the injury...have no opportunity to respond. Media outlets love a 'story' regardless of the actual truth so it's normal for them generally to be portrayed in a poor or quirky light.

I doubt very much whether anyone on this forum would come across as perfect should the Sun, Mirror, Daily Mail and the rest of them go through ones dirty laundry!

With regards to how hard someone works....this is such a non starter. Is a footballer worth his millions, an actor, singer, artist etc etc.....! Just because one does a manual job doesn't mean they work harder than those whose hands generally don't get dirty.

Anyone who has had to spend any amount of time 'socialising' with clients/colleagues for extended periods of time will know how tiresome it can get. Not to mention physically and mentally tiring. Again....you don't have to bang a hammer to be tired at the end of days work!

I agree - I think she actually has an awful job and I really, really don't envy her at all! People who say "But she's so rich" - not really, you only have to look at how closely her spending is scrutinised to realise she really can't be like "screw it, I'm the QUEEEN" and lavish loads of money on herself. But she does have to do the ENDLESSSSS rounds of socialising - with people I'm sure she doesn't particularly like and that must he really awful, never being able to just say "Nah, I wanna watch TV now, can't be bothered to go out" because the President of France or something is waiting for you. And she never gets to just say what she thinks, it's always got to be vetted and approved by a million people so that it's 'representative' of the Crown etc. It really must be like a guilded cage, yuck.

I wouldn't do her job for anything. :goofy:
