Early Christmas pressie..

Guest tombsc

Recommended Posts

Got an email this morning saying we got our visas!!!

Really didn't expect any response before Xmas, and then I expected some more questions or something but all I got was the email with an attached letter.

I'm now going to have to keep quiet until Xmas day when this will make a great present for my fiancee!

Woohoo!

I'll probably fold early but I'm going to try my hardest to wait.

I might send off our passports for the visa stamp and give her the passport on Xmas eve.

Waiting will also delay the inevitable:

'when shall we go? why can't we go for xmas? we should go now, when are you going to look for a job? why can't we afford the airfare?..."

type discussions!

Massive relief to get the email though. Thanks to everyone on here for the advice and help getting us this far.

What a lovely idea to give the passport to your fiancee on Christmas eve...!!!

I don't know how you'll be able to stay quiet though with news as excellent as that!!!

Lots of Luck with all of your plans...!

Thanks.

She won't see it on here as she's not too internet savvy and thinks I'm nerdy for using forums!

The only way she'll find out is if a letter is sent as well as the email (is it?) and the envelope mentions immigration, as she gets home before I do so she checks the post first!

Or if she realises the passports are missing (unlikely).

Or if I crack, which is quite possible..

Just posted off the passports - cost me £10!!

£5 there, and £5 pre-paid return.

Need to start saving for our trip over now. Have until July 2009 so some time to get saving. May have to postpone the wedding though as that is supposed to be next October but don't think we can afford to do both... :(
