No. They just come randomly. Two work safe and one officer.

Hello ALL,

 I have completed  my 4 years in 457 visa . My 186 is still under process from last 23 months. I am just wondering if I can work elsewhere in bridging visa? will it effect my ongoing 186?

Please advise.

Are you the primary applicant?  If so no - you must continue working with your employer who has nominated you - that is the whole basis of this transition for PR.

@RP007

1. Please update your signature with your timeline, this helps people help you with your queries.

2. If you are the main applicant and you are asking if you could leave your sponsored job to work elsewhere, then no - the new company would need to take over your sponsorship and you'd need to re-lodge. If you're asking, if you could work at a 2nd job, whilst still working at your primary job, then the answer is still no -
- There are some legalities that could possibly get around this, however, if the department find out, there could be complete and immediate rejection of your application. (why risk it)
2b) If you are not the main application, you can basically do what you want (in terms of work).

Being that you have been waiting for so long and are now only on a bridging visa (basically at the mercy of the company you work for), I'd suggest staying with them and doing your due diligence to get through the days ahead. It shouldn't be too much longer now, surely!

Good luck!

Hi Guys,

I just logged on to my account and noticed the last updated date says 08 Mar 2019. I have gone through the messages tabs and also status and can see no changes. Any idea what this means?

@RyanReid There are many (MANY) posts on this topic - some of which should be within the last 5-10 pages.

Please go back a couple pages and see the suggestions. (If it helps. a few of them are done by me - look for my name).

Hi everyone!

My company got the accredited sponsorship status after they applied for my 186 visa. Would that affect the processing time of my application?

I read that the processing time for applications submitted from accredited sponsors takes less time but my application was submitted before my company had this status.

Thank you 😁

@Franflb

My company was also just about to get this status and from what I've heard this only affects new applications.
- I'd love to be told otherwise, as that would be great news for people already waiting. Does anyone else have any dealing with this "new" status?

Also - as @natmis suggested, please update your signature with your timeline / details.

Hi RP007,

Have you tried to reach immigration since you have been waiting too long and you already provided the requested documents?!

Hi ,

If you have Applied 186 DE , but you got a work place transfer within the same company ( The company has few venues under their name ) .

would this effect your 186 application?

What if the officers come to your previous work place and they get to know that you got transferred to some other venue of the same company ?

Please let me know if this would effect your application.

cheers

@Sanji If this is the same company then it would be fine and shouldn't affect your application at all.

You would, however, need to update the department / your application with a "change of circumstances" and let them know of the new address.
