I think it depends on the CO, they just have too much power.

I know they can sometimes be hard to find. A competent MA will know exactly what you need to provide and make sure its all provided ensuring you have the best possible chance of success. Again this doesn't guarantee a 100% success rate as mistakes can happen, we are all human. My MA requested an ORG chart and a letter from my employer to state their need for me. I am very happy with my MA- they are always on the ball. I'm sure we have given more than enough. Just my company stuff that gives me anxiety- small, complicated, low turnover- removed role Just need it to be over now.

I got rejected in Feb 2018 and in the refusal letter just quoted with some laws that explain why they can reject me without asking for more details. Correc, however, currently they need to provide you with a valid, detailed reason. My understanding is that this, will change that.

With the Visa - they normally request missing/outdated documents. I think @Hex may be referring to the Visa part ?? That's correct - I'm referring to the Visa. The nomination is a little different. Vinny226
Hi all, Been reading this forum for the last few weeks whilst waiting for news on PR. I am happy to say that I received the good news yesterday afternoon. I am assuming that Nomination and Visa were approved at the same time as I hadn't heard anything from the MA or company. Also, just wanted to say that our police and health checks were done in October 2017 (company was slow with nomination application) so both were over 12 months old. Just thought I would share the details below, especially as my occupation was removed in March (which was a worry re processing times). Sales & Marketing Manager NSW 457 - 186 TRT Visa and Nomination applied 26th Feb 2018 Approved 12th Dec 2018 4 applicants (Ireland and UK) All the best to everyone waiting and many thanks to those who shared their knowledge and stories, it really helped.

This fits into the theory / suggestion that some CO's allow a 3 month leniency window (those that aren't strict).

No, I got an email from our MA yesterday afternoon with the grants attached. I hadn't heard anything from them previously so assume that Nomination and Visa were approved at the same time. When I last checked IMMI account (yesterday morning) it was still showing Received with last update as 26th Feb.

We were given the option to do one (to complete the medical) but were warned against it. Hence, we waited untill after the baby was born to complete the full medical (including x-ray). If you get the choice, this would be a personal decision. I stand corrected, but i'm pretty sure there is a point in the pregnancy to do the x-ray "safely", however, at our stage (from 6 months+) it was not advised. Just like you, my first nomination got refused in Feb 2018 which applied in Nov 2017. So it`s really hard to admit they have a pattern. Same here June 2017 got nomination refusal stright way reason genuine need and org. Chart. Reapply again aus.2018. My nomination is approved and my visa application status is currently further assessment. I have been asked for documents twice and I submitted new NZ police clearance 3 weeks back. No update since then. My medical will expire 12 months window on 1st Jan. Do you think CO can ask for a new medical or should I just wait - assuming I don't hear from them until the new year? It has been already 4 months since nomination approved. Thanks for your input. we are waiting from may 2018 after the nomination approved... medical checks done again, police checks done again... 3 case officers 19 month waiting 186de
