lynste
So we are in the last stages of sorting out the house before the removal company come in next week and todays dilemma is around the duvets:arghh:. Personally I love nothing more than getting into bed with a big thick feather duvet, realistically I am thinking that my 15 tog duvet is not going to be needed even in winter. What does everyone use on there beds even in the cooler winter months? Thanks in advance
skippy79
If on the coast I would say you wouldn't need it, the only place we found cold at night while there in july was the blue mountains, for the rest it was fine, even at night on the gold coast it was around about 10/12 degrees. Maybe if inland and up higher I might get colder at night, but nothing like european winters
JetBlast
When i lived in Brisbane I used mine all winter. Some people sleep with air conditioning on, so they might be useful then to keep the cold air off.
Skippy1
Bring it you will need it....................In Noosa and on colder nights you will reach for it .................once you get acclimatized :-)
srg73
You will need it, we are central Brisbane and have our uk 4 seasons doona (duvet) plus covers on top during winter. S

Marisawright
No one can really tell you, it's a very personal thing. My ex sister-in-law always slept under a huge European duvet in Sydney. Living in a similar house, I've never needed anything more than a lightweight summer duvet. Older houses in Australia aren't well insulated and in some parts of the country it gets cold very quickly at night even on hot days, so you might need a duvet more than you think, though perhaps not in your first winter. Keith and Linda
We use one (and need one) though not a high tog. If you have room in your container then bring them.
calNgary
If they are good quality and good condition bring them.. We use thick quilts in winter as the evenings can get quite chilly. Summer is normally just sheets but you will certainly need a doona in winter. Cal x
Bungo
We used a duvet in winter but not a 15 tog one. It would have been too much for me, we had about a 7 tog, this is in Sydney. Spent a lot of time in Queensland (Brisbane) and found winter very mild.
Gbye grey sky
Don't know about 15 Tog but bring it. A fair few nights drop down to 5 or 6C where I live and our bedroom upstairs is then a cool 16C first thing in the morning. We brought our electric blankets. Haven't used them much but .......
