Please mods do not move thread.

I started a thread about you bunch choosing a dog for me but it was moved to a part of the forum I have no access to so I could not see the results :frown:

Anyway, got a springer spaniel pup..:cute: her name is willow and she is a right naughty girl... will post a pic soon.

Good choice on the breed. About the best given your needs/wants in having a dog. Lots of socialising ahead for you both ;)

I am trusting you went to someone reputable? Please tell me you did. See the mum at least? And other pups?

Is she working stock or from a showing breeder? Working stock she'll have a real nose about her I would expect :)

Working stock and her mother and father were there to see, KC registered with history going back 5 generations all printed out, breeder is a lovely man of 75 who has trained field dogs since he was shown by his father at 10, willows mother has won many field trials and the gentleman has offered to train my dog to the whistle and retrieve for nothing as he gets so much pleasure from it.

PB might have found some of your posts expressing a different point of view to mine, but am in total agreement with your choice of puppy!!!

She looks adorable, great name, we had a female springer spaniel, a fabulous family dog, she never grew up, could smell water from miles away and always had to jump in. You will have years of fun with her.

Sounds great :) Take him up on it. You could always work her yourself then. They like the stimulation and its a great way to get out and about.

FWIW, don't go taking her running with you till she is older and her bones have finished growing. Then slowly build her up to longer distances. Of course she'll hare around playing as a pup but that is natural and they sleep to recover from that. Long runs in a continuous stride while you run is not ideal for a young growing dog.
