Which MARA registered Agents to use for

Hi All,

I'm new to the forum and just have a question on visa applications agents.

I'm just about to start the long process of applying for my 189 visa and just wondered based on peoples past experiences which MARA registered visa Agents to use and whether it matters which country UK or OZ they reside.

Concept Australia, Go Matilda, Expert Visa's and Ian Harrop Associates are to name but a few.

I just want to pick the right one really on recommendation rather than cost.

Thanks.

Chris

I'm trying Sammy Naghi from Taylor Hampton based on some recommendations I read on here. Hoping they're still right! Also being in uk someone in my time zone is easier than 10 hours out.

Sammy Naghi is great , he helped me so much for my visa , honestly he is awesome!! You won't be disapointed with him.

There are a lot of good agents, so I'd suggest use someone who comes recommended by others. Also, make sure they are MARA-registered so if anything goes pear-shaped, you have recourse to complain to MARA. The person you speak with should be able to give you their MARN #.

In what way do you suppose a complaint to the OMARA might help?

I should have made my comment more specific, I was multi-tasking at the time. If the agent gives an applicant incorrect advice, the agent is negligent in their handling of the application, etc. the applicant has a resource (MARA) available if they aren't able to resolve the issue with the agent or want to complain about their agent. It's not a resource to complain simply if their visa is refused.

I include the following on all my service agreements:

WARNING

The OMARA is an essentially useless office that is part of the Department of Immigration and Citizenship and I have told them so repeatedly. With the stroke of a pen the minister can terminate them all as easily as s/he can terminate a perfectly valid visa application. The OMARA can do nothing about unregistered agents overseas or parliamentarians or DIBP officers who give, often incorrect, migration advice in Australia, or education agents who give catastrophically incorrect migration advice under the table. About all the OMARA can do, having received a complaint, is haul a registered migration agent over the coals - after the event. They cannot order repayment of money lost. They can do nothing when the minister (The Terminator) changes the rules in the middle of the game or one of his delegates or ‘designated authorities’ bungles your case. By the way, the ‘average fee’ misinformation published by the OMARA is just that.

I used Sammy Naghi to migrate to Geelong, Vic., and can thoroughly recommend him for helping me with what turned out to be very complicated application not least due to my children custody issues with my ex, and my being over the age limit of 45 y.o.
