starlight7
Our whole house shook- it was based in Bayswater, Vic and described as 'significant'- 2.7 on the richter scale. I would hate to think what those big ones of 6 and 7 are like. Very scary.

Guest The Pom Queen
We got a couple up here before Christmas. It wasn't large but because it was on the top of the surface everyone could hear it as well as feel it.

starlight7
We are about 5 kms from Bayswater, it must have been loud there. Our daughter at Mt Waverley heard it and our daughter at Donvale did, too.
VERYSTORMY
While damage from intraplate tremors is rare, it is worth checking things like tiling on walls incase any has been shaken loose. Hill Australia is very geologically stable, it does, like the rest of the world have a significant number of tremors mainly due to a bit of fault settling and various other reasons. Hopefully it will be the inspiration for a few kids to become geologists.

Alnaibii
I did not think you can feel anything below 4. Here we have earthquakes very often, but usually I feel something only if it is 4.5-5.
