Love Shoes

Are really lovely gestures. today I shot across a shopping mall to open a door for an old man who was struggling to open the door to a pathology clinic ... People were walking past him, watching him struggle, I couldn't do that. i have done many random acts of kindness, what was your last random act of kindness?

Firstly my dear friends, please accept my deepest apologies, for a few sins I have committed a) not posting since forever b) not answering any emails and c) just not being around .... But I do have good reason, since I opened my boutique in June last year I have been so busy & consumed with work, I have been concentrating on building my business and taking it to the next level, I feel as if I have been on a massive roller coaster ride ..... So much to tell, but I want to keep this post as short as possible, because I hate to bore people .... I still meet up ( from time to time with Millie ) and she's all good. i have moved premises once because I outgrew my original shop, and me being me am hoping to be on the move again at the end of my lease to an even bigger, better, brand new store, I am meeting shortly with the delveloper to discuss my needs .... I have built up my brands from a small handful to what will be nearly 30 by next season, my customers are 40 plus, I have made lots of friends and have a really cool customer base .... Beautiful girls who appreciate me & what I am doing, I create a lot of mix & match .... handpicked to fit in with today's busy lifestyles, I am a wYse stockist, I also stock Goondiwindi Cotton, Layer'd, Seven Sisters, Vassalli, MACJAYS, Boo Radley, Ridley, NYDJ, Cotton Diva, Tsonga Shoes, Sasha Drake due in January, Motto, Tani, and heaps more, see I said I'd been busy. i am in the process of getting my website together, but I'm too busy to look after it, so I've handed that job over to my computer guys, so hopefully it will pay off .... Again please accept my sincerest apologies, gone are the days when I was a bored housewife, now I'm too busy to put the kettle on .... hope everyone's well .... i will try to pop on again. Sorry Kate for shirking my moderator duties, really I am .... i did manage to fit a cruise in though ..... I am a huge fan of winter clothes, always have been, so naturally living in OZ I miss wearing my lovely long black wool coat and knee high boots ..... I have never really been a huge fan of summer clothes (they are too revealing) :laugh: but here I have very little choice, its shorts .... thin skirts and dresses ... linen trousers and sandals .... ​Do you prefer winter or summer fashions ......

Leading on from the supermarket smack thread, I wondered whether smacking does actually gain anything :yes: i was smacked as a child, smacked not battered, or beaten black and blue, on reflection I suppose i asked for it, (I was mischievous .... very .... going as far as chopping off clumps of my sisters hair) just been pondering over whether or not my dad was right to punish me for being naughty, and I think he was. I doubt very much I would have been smacked had I been a little angel .... no one other than my parents have ever smacked me, ...... Well apart from cheeky adult smacks :wink: i think my dads chastising has helped me grow into an adult who has respect for other people .... not saying smacking did this, but a stern upbringing ...... What are your views on smacking, should parents be able to smack their child if they are being naughty or should smacking be illegal ...... ​as I have already said this post is not aimed or intended condoning violence towards children .....which I am very much against and do not condone, how anyone can beat up or abuse a child is beyond me ......... but simply a little smack on the hand ....

Pnk, blue, ... changed mine a few weeks ago to a gorgeous shade of champagne pink blonde, after many years of being blonde, do many awesome comments, loving it .... Could you, would you ....

Thank ni you babes, a change is as good as a rest, but as we get older it's hot to look really good, .... as it's not as easy to carry off, I rea don't suit vivid fashion colours but this is soft & really suits my skin tone ... If you feel like it, do it, if your happy with your current colour then stay with it, I'm staying with this, coz I'm happy with it ...

Thank you babes, just been so really busy, I have never Ben one to stop still with hair styles .... Short, bed head and interesting colour, I don't suit dark hair, sadly, but I've fou an amazing stylist.... I have ladies come in & ask " where did you get your hair done " hows you x x

Hopefully everyone is well, had a run in a few weeks ago with a tosser, so thought I'd have a rest .... im great, my business is going really well, just about to move to bigger premises...... got a couple of local Australian designers who have become friends as they love my quirky up front style .... their labels sell well, must post my ad, as just done a tv commercial

Sorry I haven't been to the beach, or lovely restaurant ... I have been working my balls off, getting my boutique off the ground, so no photos of turtles or fancy fish, just rails ....

Just curious to find out how important how important customer service is to people. i have just opened a boutique and I like to pride myself on customer service, to me, my customers are " the " most important people ever to walk through my door, it is a honour to see people .... I always greet them, and I always say " hello, how are you today! are you girls happy to browse, if you need anything I'm here, please just ask " because personally I loathe the hard sell, so far it's going well, and the feedback is that the girls are loving the fact that they can browse, they might not need anything ATM, but word has it, that they will come back, as I am such a fantastic sales person :wink: Those that need help ask for it .... When they have chosen their purchases, I lovingly wrap them in tissue paper, and put them in a beautiful bag with a bow wrapped around the handle as well as a business card, tied to the handle. Do you think customer service has on the whole gone out of the window, I do, that's why I am a bit over the top, but to me as a sole trader, I feel it is the personal touch that is missing ...... Going to poll. ETA I am gathering a lovely following because of my attitude towards my customers and my attention to detail, I.e., I listen and I care

I am am not looking for approval. i do not sell s & M nor does hard sell apply to just s & m I have had hard sell in boutiques and have bank statements to prove it i am not defensive, you are just trying to wind me up are you saying I don't care about my customers, which is so untrue, I have had such bad customer service in this country, so far I have not had to resolve an issue because I do not over sell or sell faulty items

Its really true, that if customers know or get a whiff that a sales person hasn't had a sale that day, they can sense it, most of my girls are now or becoming friends, which is great .... Laid back, but on hand and look after them ...

I was asking generally, because I feel that so many assistants throw stuff at us these days, it was general, and CBA is or seems to be prevalent these days ..... I just like to offer customers a good service, and I really don't need your seal of approval, I am doing very well without it or so my customers who keep coming back tell me ... So the obvious is not lost on me

no, no, I just didn't get what you said .... Plus I see high pressured sales as just that, plus what's all this " would you talk to .... It really was a senseless and argumentative comment. What a load of tosh ....
