Whilst MP's tell us plebs to stick on another jumper if we are too cold and can't afford to heat our homes, the same MP's claim their fuel bills back for their SECOND homes.

And we care because???Lots of things are'nt fair in this world, but maybe you should try focussing on the positives?

We care because its morally wrong, that its like spitting in the face of a public where millions of people are scared to put the heating on,6 thousand £ for his second home(estate soz)!

Focussing only on the positives would mean every bad or wrong thing in the world going unnoticed/unchallenged ,thats apathy

And we care because???Lots of things are'nt fair in this world, but maybe you should try focussing on the positives?

I care because my tax is being used to pay for the heating of the second homes of people who already earn around twice the average uk wage, get massive pensions, and royally trounce upon the people they are elected to represent.

If free speech ain't your thing there are other places you could go to...

We care because it's unethical, dishonest, rorting and exploitative. By all means ignore it and "focus on the positives" if you wish. That's exactly how the greedy and evil gain power.

We care because we're constantly being told there's no money to pay for schools, the NHS, or to give benefits to the disabled. Budgets have been cut to charities who support the most vulnerable people. Posts in schools and hospitals have been lost which impacts again on those who have the least power in society and yet there is money slushing around to pay for whatever MPs see fit to take, including IDS's pants!

We could bury our heads in the sand and let them get away with it unchallenged I suppose, but I guess in grates more than a little with those of us who have a social conscience

Lots of things aren't fair in this world!! What a strange thing to say "thats just the upper class kids don't question them because there just better than us" You can bury you head in the sand for so long but sooner or later you have to voice an opinion!

The energy expenses is the tip of the iceberg.

  • £53 billion - Additional cost of funding pay and pensions for public sector workers over and above the private sector average, based on analysis of figures from the Office for National Statistics and the Pension Policy Institute
  • £25 billion - Amount wasted through inefficient public sector procurementand poor use of outsourcing, based on an authoritative report from the Institute of Directors
  • £20.3 billion - Cost to the economy of public sector fraud, according to the National Fraud Authority
  • £5 billion - Amount paid in benefits to those with an income in excess of £100,000
  • £4 billion - Losses to the taxpayer from RBS and the sale of Northern Rock
  • £2.9 billion - Amount spent needlessly by the Department for Business, Innovation & Skills and Department for Culture, Media & Sport, which should both be scrapped
  • £1.2 billion - Annual subsidy to foreign farmers through the EU’s Common Agricultural Policy

  • Arts Council: Gave a £95,000 grant to artists in Brighton for “Skip”, a rubbish dumpster outlined with yellow lights
  • Crawley Council: Spent £5,070 on 12,200 hot drinks from vending machines for council employees, when the equivalent number of tea bags would have cost just £200
  • Department for International Development: Spent £21.2 million on a road maintenance project in Bangladesh, later pulled due to “fiduciary irregularities” after it emerged that less than 10% had actually been spent on roads
  • Durham Council: Funded a £12,000 clothing allowance to allow councillors to wear “Geordie Armani”
  • Hull Council: Spent £40,000 on a concert in honour of the councillor who is Lord Mayor this year
  • Ministry of Defence: Paid £22 for light bulbs that are normally 65p
  • Prison Service: Paid £720,000 to professional actors for role playing that is aimed at helping inmates become employed
  • Scottish Government: Signed a £1.4 million 4-year contract for taxis for civil servants in Edinburgh – despite staff being told to use buses
  • Stoke-on-Trent Council: Spent £330,000 to pay for redundancy packages and subsequently rehiring 25 members of staff

Dont really see the problem with him putting that up

No problem as such, just that in reality is it really affecting us?Yes morally its wrong I guess, but as I said there are tonnes of things not fair in this world, but for your own well being, its much better to focus on the positives!

I don't go to bed each night worrying where my taxes are going if thats what you mean?I'm not well off financially, but I do have a home(not owned)a job,a car and a comfortable life, and thats what I go to bed thinking about! Why waste energy worrying over something you probably can't control? We're actually spoilt compared to alot of people walking this earth!

Whilst MP's tell us plebs to stick on another jumper if we are too cold and can't afford to heat our homes, the same MP's claim their fuel bills back for their SECOND homes.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/energy/10423252/340-MPs-claim-200000-on-expenses-for-energy-bills.html

yes isn't it just outrageous......you plebs love a bit of outrage......if you cant get angry and all foamy at the mouth then whats the point really?
