Hi

New to Pomsinoz, but had to join as another medical referred on 30 July but still waiting! Submitted 176 visa on 29 June along with pcc etc. Medicals done 21 July. Medical results in from panel docs 27 July. OH ok but mine referred 30 July. Meds submitted electronically along with consultant letter as knew I'd be referred so well prepared. As there are thoughts regarding extra columns, please include that it is arthritis for me, might help in tracking whats taking longer to process. I note that Ozymandius and Ozmiguel are both from Ireland, whereas I'm mainland UK. Just looking for patterns like everyone else.

Have also called GH, annoyed my visa company and they have contacted case officer, all to no avail. So far had from GH feedback as: backlog x2, technical problems x1 and referred x2 to MOC without anything actually happening. Via case officer had they are on 17 July while clearly cases after that date are going through.

Beyond frustrated, actually seriously contemplating getting on a plane and sitting in their offices until its done!!!

Please add me to the spreadsheet and apologies for the long winded intro.

Online, how about ppl with pre existing condition vs 100% fit to see the trend?

Pre-existing condition for me so I was fully aware that I was going to be referred.

worriedhead,

Panel doctors does know the condition of the individuals. Mostly they don't want us to panic. So the doc will suggest us with the statement that everything is fine. But they would be aware of the condition, as well the fact that it would go through ultimately but through the referral process.

You have the right to ask for duplicate copies of the diagnostics report uploaded by the doc for your reference. That should help you to identify the cause for referral.

In my case, I have a preexisting condition and even though i let the doc know, no special reports were requested on the same day. Upon their lab tests doc have requested to do additional special reports couple of days later. At that point in time my reports were not even uploaded, while my wife and daughter's were uploaded and status changed to "met"

With respect to adding this info to the SS - some folks might have reservation in letting others know about this sensitive information. So for now, I will not add this input into the SS. In case if their is a consensus to add, I will be happy to do it.

One might also consider that a GP probably first looks at all the referred medicals, so for some he is like meh... thats nothing, approve. Others he might need to forward on to a specialist to evaluate, which may take more time?

Hi JCL,

I know it is awful to say but I am glad to meet another person in the same frustrating position.

GH have been working saturdays of late, so maybe maybe maybe we might get that elusive 'finalised' monday morning?

Getting the same run around from GH, Co and Agent, so with you on the frustration levels, also knew I was to be referred so thought of having wasted this massive amount of money if we get refused because of me is so stressful. :arghh:

Thanks Ozymandius, its why I joined. I'm not prepared to accept that I'll fail, but it does niggle in the back of the mind. I feel I have jumped through hoops. The original visa was going to be in my name as a nurse, but due to non hands on posts they couldn't work out how to categorize me at vetassess and finally offered a refund, so we went with my husband but as we have both taken redundancy, getting ever so slightly panicky that we don't get there. As for sleep, what's that?

Hi, just a quick note to say we have absolutely no idea why OH medicals have been referred, panel Dr said they were Grade A, no past medical history whatsoever, OH is fittest person I know, so for us, yes I would like to know whether people were expecting to be referred or not, as the longer we wait the more anxious we are. What have they found that we do not know about??? (and as a experienced nurse why havent I picked up on it if it is a problem!)

Thankyou tho' to all the imputs on this thread it has helped to reduce our fears/frustration.

Same, I think they might be referring people at random as well just to double check. I gym 4 days a week, never had a medical condition, passed all tests with flying colours, even have the pdf from what the panel doctor submitted

After all this delay I think you are probably right, but how can they justify doing that when all we hear about is the backlog, extra people applying etc.

Surely if it is just to monitor the panel doctors, they could send in a random person every now and them to check everything is up to scratch without adding extra delays to already stressed people. My OH thinks it is just a way of keeping visa grants down, which is a depressing thought considering the money we have all forked over.

Indyanexpress,

I totally agreed that it is up to ppl who wants to disclose whether they actually have a medical condition but if the ss just states yes/no then we know the trend. It will be up to individual whether they wanted to update this info or not. I just don't understand why some ppl get referred without any medical condition and why it is taken so long to finalised their meds. I can understand ppl with a condition will get refer longer but if they didn't refer ppl unnecessarily then the backlog will not be so huge.

Anyway, I am just getting frustrated with the waiting like others......

Hi indyanexpress,

Please add me to the worksheet. I am new to this forum, but my medicals was also referred. My husband and three kids' medicals were finalised on 27 July 2012.

The issue according to the GP was that I am breast-feeding as all else is normal and healthy - baby was a month old at the time. Sounds strange if you ask me :-(

Visa Type: 176

Medicals submitted: 24 July 2012

Medicals referred: 30 July 2012

Online application

Thanks!
