  1. Yes that's right, I read that recently! We will have to watch and make sure bikes are carried to the container!!
  2. Will do, i will take lids off and wrap with clingfilm then put lids back on etc....
  3. Its only 1 item we want to purchase. The Ikea prices in Oz seem to be more expensive though, so might just go and buy it this week and hopefully won't get charged!
  4. Thank you for the reply. I thought liquid stuff, like you have mentioned, would explode in the container due to pressure/heat etc??? My perfumes are going in my suitcase though, but I've got lots of cleaning stuff, lotions etc.....so will pack those now.
  5. Yes you are exempt, you still need the g2g pass, my husband has the same visa and i am an Australian citizen, we both had to apply for the pass. Anyone over 18 must apply who are entering WA ONLY. They are free and required by WA police. The passes will be approved once evidence has been shown of a pending flight. Hope this helps.
  6. Can things like hand wash/liquid things go into a shipping container? I know i can buy out there but have a really decent one and would like to take it. TIA. X
  7. Had an email this morning to say our seats we had selected for the flight from Singapore to Perth was being changed, hope this is not a sign the flight won't go ahead, anyone else had this happen then flight was cancelled? X
  8. For anyone wanting to book flights to Perth, I have just found this information which may help: From August 18 2020, flights from Singapore to Perth on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. With SQ223 Boeing 787-10, departing from The Lion City at 10.05am local time, to reach Perth at 3.15pm later that same day. This is useful for anyone looking at booking flights soon.
  9. It sure has I can tell you!! X
  10. Thank you Ali, my husbands approval has just come through too!!!
  11. Just had an email to say my g2g pass has been approved!!!!!! So, so relieved, just hoping our flights for 14th September still go ahead!!
  12. I think will be calling Singapore airlines to ask the question.
  13. Hi, How do you know Singapore airlines are not flying to Perth? I have recently booked our flights and they didnt tell me there are no flights from Singapore to Perth, if that's the case, why aren't we being told this information when we book? I had an email to say Scoot are flying Singapore to Perth, so maybe we would get the flight changed to Scoot? God this is such a headache!!
  14. When was your flight with Singapore airlines cancelled, how much notice did they give you? We have recently booked our flights with them for 14th September! I am expecting it to be cancelled though. How do you know if the BA flight will go ahead, are you flying very soon?
  15. This is my point, people aren't aware of the g2g pass, i wasnt until i stumled across it on here, also when many applications are rejected time and time again!!, maybe airlines should state it when booking flights to Perth, its worrying and also it's disgusting that airlines are cancelling flights numerous times then expecting passengers to buy a business class fare, its just a money making scandal and totally unfair for passengers desperate to fly to Perth.
  16. I'm not sure but have never read or heard of anyone being turned away.
  17. I read that no one was turned away at the airport. X
  18. When a house is listed with a "current bid" does it mean highest bid wins, is there a limit to how long the bidding goes on for? Expressions of interest is another one I see, what does it mean in terms of buying and putting an offer in? Just curious as havent bought a house in Australia before. Thanks xx
  19. How do you contact DHA, do you have the details please? I might have to do the same. Many thanks.
  20. We now have flights booked for 14th September. Not sure if we should apply again for g2g passes now or leave it for another couple of weeks? What if they are not approved and our flights are imminent, i have read people who didn't even know about the passes and still flew, they did the passes when they arrived. Many thanks. Xx
  21. I see a lot of properties are advertised as "best offer over" or offers above", thats not a negotiation, so i wouldnt bother even viewing or making an offer under the advertised price! Or should I?
  22. Does anyone know if scoot airlines are flying to Perth from Singapore? I have been informed that Scoot do not have their September schedule yet so no flights can be booked for that journey, my reason asking is that I have been on the phone to Qatar who tell me they can book a flight from Singapore to Perth on 14 September, but it seems a bit dodgy as Scoot do not have a published schedule yet for September?? Should I avoid this booking?? I am surprised Qatar can book such flights with Singapore airlines anyway???? TIA XX
  23. I have read that the centres/clinics have to be recognised by the UAE? So probably have to be the ones they are aware of.
  24. I have been on the phone to Emirates, they said I need to contact the Public Health Authority in Uk to find out where the test is done before flying with Emirates. When i look for this on the internet, it comes up with Public Health England, is this the one? Is there a phone number anyone has that have had to have the test done? Not sure where the test centres are in the UK but we would be nearest to London. Do we have to complete any forms online for this test? Found one on the Public Health England website, its called E28, does this have to be filled in first? To be honest, there are less and less flights available now with any airline and its becoming a real headache, any that i have found are just way too expensive, greedy greedy prices. Can anyone please help me with the test centres? Thanks so much.
