  1. Hi I have submitted all docs I have to the my Immi account but there are a few requests that dont seem right. do I just ignore them until a CO is added ?( submitted 13 Nov ) it asks for the following Health, evidence of - I have completed and passed my medical, and its states that under the medical section of the Immi account. I have no documents to load as its auto completed?. Language eligibility - I scored the necessary points having a UK passport for the language side of things. so didn't need a IELTS for my application ( scored 75). Aus Qualifications evidence - never studied in Australia. or does this mean my Skill Assessment ? ( evidence of this was given for the application ) And on my partners it asks for the same as above but with an added Custody of Evidence - she's 30 and I haven't adopted her.. Are these just formalities or genuinely needed ? I have phoned DIBP and they are less than helpful. thanks
  2. probably best starting your own thread instead of jumping on a case officer thread as thats a bit down the line for you at this stage.
  3. im wondering why its taking so long to hear from my CO ? 13 Nov 2017 is when I filled in the finally app and paid the amount due. have uploaded all my files now so just waiting. been 2 months now.
  4. I would possibly take your Canadian Visa application with you incase they are suspicious.
  5. I came to Australia originally on a WHV as a freelancer. I spoke to the Tax dept here to find out all the rules. possibly worth a try yourself she would need to apply for an ABN ( Australian Business Number ) in order to pay Tax etc. You can't make and sell products in Australia without one. An ABN can be done online but would need an address in Australia and an Australian bank account. ( not 100% on the bank account ) bank account can be done on a WHV as I sorted mine with NAB before I arrived and collected a card. the address might be a little harder if your traveling around. possibly use a families address since your Australian ?? be sure to claim the earnings though. But if she is making the products here and selling them back to the UK to UK buyers then it can be done through her UK company and tax.
  6. I recently passed a medical suffering with Crohns Disease with prescribed medication ( no history of surgery ) and passed.
  7. also anyone else currently living within Australia whilst waiting the outcome.
  8. I submitted my 489 ( Tasmania ) on the 13 Nov 2017 and paid the cost, all docs uploaded apart from my UK PCC that I'm waiting on and Medical done etc. No word from CO yet.
  9. im not 100% sure but your skill assesment would of been as a "internal auditor" I'm not sure there is a seperate skill assessment or number for "senior auditor". as the skill assessment would be for the profession regardless of rank within the main part of the assessment would be the years you have been in that profession. you have to submit a CV etc with your EOI so I assume your new role would be on that ?
  10. ok cheers guys for the help. My Aus one came through today so will get this one done. cheers
  11. Thanks for the reply Im under the understanding I need a police check from the UK and also one from Australia as I have been here over 12 months. on the Uk police check ( ACRO criminal records office ) under the field of what the reason for the check was i.e "for the purpose of a visa" it asked for the name of the case officer handling my visa..
  12. Hi I received notification of Tasmania sponsoring my 489 visa back in November 2017, I was then invited via Skill select to apply and pay for the visa which I did (13 Nov 2017) I now have an Immi Account where I can upload documents, apply for medical ( applied and passed ) and other things. I have uploaded all Docs apart from UK police check as I need to put down a Case Officer name on the UK police application. I have not yet heard anything from a "Case Officer" would I get an email from somebody i.e "Hi my name is Joe Blogs and I'm your case officer.. I will need documents A, B, C etc etc" ?? Im a bit concerned I haven't had any emails or notifications via Immi Account since 13 Nov 2016.. is this normal ? Many Thanks.
  13. sounds like you were refused after this application by Tasmania State Growth Dept Normally if successful you would be accepted via email by the State Growth department and a link would appear in your Immi Account to start the next section where you fill out more questions and then pay the visa cost. then after paying you will be able to go ahead with medical, police check etc to complete the application This is all then passed to DIBP case officer for their final opinion on the case and then if all correct and no miss information has been used it should be passed. so unfortunately to me sounds like you where declined at the first step. but I'm sure someone on here would know the exact cause and or procedure as I'm not an agent.
  14. im in the same boat as Sagga, I have paid for my visa and also completed my medical. bit odd that even though Tasmania was willing to sponsor you, the DIBP said no. how long where you waiting for a case officer ssgaurav2000 ? I'm wondering if its because you hadn't paid the fee and that might in their eyes made it easier to say no. as I can't see why they don't accept skills on the Tasmanian consolidated list... whats the point in the list then ? I'm only saying this as I'm on the consolidated list, as is SAGGA. what skill was it you where applying with ?
  15. thanks, I thought this was the case and wanted to double check.
  16. Hi All I am currently in Tasmania on a 489 skilled regional. part of the PR visa that I can apply for in 2 years is that I need to show I worked full time for 12 months of the 2 years of my 489 visa. does this have to be in my skill or just full time work in general. I can't find any wording that it is to be in the skill nominated. It just reads ( full time work ) only asking as its hard to find the work in my skill in Tasmania and recently didn't get a job because I was on a visa even though I have nearly 10 years experience in the field. trying to decide if to retrain is an option. any help would be appreciated.
  17. you submit your skill assessment in the visa app, that is usually fine for the agent as the skill governing body has already done the leg work and looked into your evidence. but they can call upon that evidence at any time I believe, so keep the paperwork you submitted to the skill assessment just in case.
  18. this is good advice from Verystormy. Unfortunately I fell for that trick from an agent back in the UK, since I was under 30 (29 at the time) they said to go over on a WHV and get sponsored, easy as that... ! it is not that easy believe me!. after trying for almost a year to get sponsored I managed to get a 489 with 2 weeks to spare on my WHV. very stressful year. if you can apply for a 489 do that rather than a WHV. you will need to get your skill assed so look into that either via Vetasses or what ever governing body assess your skill.
  19. have you already completed the 2 years or are you planning on going to Tas U to be able to get a visa ?
  20. I have used these guys, its not really a service you can choose to use, as I think they are the only ones that specialise in that field so you might only have that choice. you have to have a Vetasses verdict to be able to put in your EOI. They can be helpful, just ask as many questions as possible. when I did mine (film editor) they where very helpful and gave me all the things they needed to be able to asses my skill properly. you will need a lot of proof, so get ready to dig out all your payslips and uni certificates ( including the record of achievements i.e the list of modules throughout the 3 years ) you can request this from the uni as they keep it on record. as well as examples of work etc. a letter from your employer stating what your job role is, if you haven't told them your leaving yet.. you will now ha. I had a harder time since I have been self employed for the past 9 years so had to supply more than the normal amount of paperwork. All in all it took me about 3-4 weeks to get the final sign off. try and get an EOI in before July next year as they could take your skill of the list for the State you want.
  21. Hi we are filling in our documents on our immi account, me being the primary visa applicant (489) and my fiancé being a dependant. she has a section to upload a 1221 form ( I don't ). its not been requested but the option is there to upload one, so we thought just get it filled out ready. one of the questions ( Q 34 ) is - Only complete the section relevant to you have applied for a visitor visa have applied for a buissness visa have applied for a migration visa are a student, acedemic, researcher or fellow now I have been sponsored on a 489 state sponsorship. does she fill in this section or not as technically non of these apply since she is a dependant or is it the Migration visa selection. Also Q44 Are there any other details you would like taken into consideration? this sounds like a optional question? or if not what sort of details are they looking for? many thanks for your help.
  22. I came over on a WHV and have now been sponsored by a state.. believe me its a long process not to mention expensive. I just about got my visa sponsored by the state before I ran out of time. If you do come on a WHV do your 3 month regional as soon as you get here.. that way you can extend your WHV for an extra year to sort it out if you want to stay. your right Melbourne is crazy expensive but all major cities are here. just don't blow your wod going out every night haha.
  23. Hi all Just seeing if anyone else is having issues uploading documents to their Immi Account ? I load the document and press the confirm button.. little spinning wheel.. goes back to main screen and no docs attached ? Ive tried it on Safari, Chrome and Firefox all with the same results. I was able to load one last night but not today for some reason. Cheers
  24. Another update I have received my bridging visa that has no working restrictions so all good now.. shipping booked to Tas from Vic and all is a GO ! Just waiting on medical etc, so the quest continues.
  25. I just paid my $5500 last night. So hopeully the ball is rolling. I just hope that I can apply for jobs through my bridging visa since it can take up to 3-6 months as I've seen jobs in Tas that fill my skill and I'm more than qualified for. My bridging visa has no work restrictions. Im so glad it' all coming together now.
