  1. Hi guys My info doesn't appear to be in the spreadsheet, who know's how to add it? All my info is in signature :)
  2. Thank you!! I have just updated mine so please add me to the spreadsheet too @Hex if you can
  3. Would this slow down the process? I thought they would send you request for more information? My police certs have expired about 3 weeks ago and I haven't updated yet..
  4. Hi Everyone! I haven't posted in so long, and never on this thread I don't think. Carpenter transitioning from 457 to PR with defacto partner Employer Nomination lodged 30 Apr 2018 Visa Application lodged 08 June 2018 No news since. State WA 457 commenced May 2015 Carpenter colleague applied for both EN and Visa in Feb 2018, and EN approved June 2018. No word on his application since either. Happy to be added to the spreadsheet
  5. @NinaMKD Hi Nina! Not sure why you can't send me a message. Anyway....... We got an agent to help with the Employer Nomination, she requested all docs and I prepared and sent them to her for upload. That was submitted about 2 weeks ago. We are continuing with the rest of the application ourselves - as of last night we reached a final draft on the application, and will submit, pay and upload docs this evening. I am hoping once submitted it will be similar to the 457 defacto application, whereby it suggests documents to upload in each category. We have both completed Form 80's, have all docs relating to partner's skills and work experience (not sure if these are required again, think they are), and have sufficient documents to support 1 year defacto relationship in the form of lease agreements, car ownership, joint bank accounts and holidays. Here's the link of the checklist for both Employers and Applicants https://www.homeaffairs.gov.au/trav/visa-1/186-#tab-content-1
  6. Hi All Congrats to those who have received approvals - it's quite a long road! A migration agent has lodged our employer nomination 2 weeks ago, and now we are going to lodge the application ourselves. My partner is being sponsored, and I am his defacto. Can someone please help and tell me how to go about lodging the application?? Is it on immi account? And if you have a list of docs to upload that would be awesome.
  7. Been MIA for a few weeks - thank you all for the responses. I am definitely going to pursue our application without an agent, but am wondering does anyone have knowledge of lodging the Employer Nomination piece? Our Employer uses a really expensive agent and they're happy for me to lodge it myself on her behalf without the agent - but would like to know a bit more about it if possible. Also with Q.35 of the Form80, have you visited Aus before? I arrived here in 2016 on WHV and have not left (apart from holidays). Do I tick 'yes' and list the previous visa leaving departure date free? I'm sure there's plenty here in the same boat
  8. Hi My partner has been sponsored by his employer since May 2015, and they are willing and able to nominate him for PR. I also work for the same employer (not sponsored as I am his defacto) and will end up preparing all documentation an agent requests - this is why I would consider lodging it myself without an agent. Has anyone here done this before and can offer some advice about documentation required etc..? Or tell me I'm completely nuts and should not continue without an experts help.
  9. Hi Did your receive an invite on 06/09?? I'm a secondary teacher with 60 points, submitted 23/06 and hoping for an invite in the next round or two!
  10. Hi GMDream No invite yet - have 60 points EOI lodged 23/06 for Secondary Teacher. I have seen on other forums quite a few 65 point invites for non pro rata occupations! Fingers crossed we will get the call in the next round or two. When did you lodge EOI? Also I feel you should push up to 65, I will be automatically changed to 65 after 29/09 as I jump to a better age bracket (seldom one is happy about getting older! ) and was advised that it is always better to be in the 65 pool than the 60 point pool, regardless of where you are in the pile.
  11. Not an option for me, I've taken max points from IELTS! Will have 65 at the end of september due to a new age bracket so will just reassess then if it's worth staying in the 60 point pile or resubmiiting at 65 points. So many if's and but's if I could have applied earlier but now all I can do is wait..
  12. I submitted my EOI 28/06, Secondary Teacher with 60 points. I've since heard from a Migration Agent that they don't expect any 60 pointer invites to be given out until after June 2018??!! I am hoping they might increase the number of 189 invites from 1000 due to the low number of applicants from NZ. At the moment though, it is looking very bleak!
  13. Yes, had everything I needed for the EOI Have most of our documents for the visa ready to upload too, thought I would receive an invite sooner...
  14. Hi All I am teaching here in WA on my partners' sponsored visa (We couldn't wait for all of the 189 paperwork to move over) I have submitted my EOI on 26/06, and have not received an invite in either of the July rounds. I am Maths Teacher, and had the bare 60 required points (as I'm a fairly recent grad so no paid experience from back home in Ireland) Those of you who are submitting, how long were you waiting for your invites?? Also for those needing a Proficient English result with IELTS - Prepare!! Writing is marked very strangely! ANZCO: 21411 IELTS: 09/06/2017 (Proficient - R:8.5,S:9,L:9,W:8.5) EOI: 26/06/2017 (60 points) Invite: ?
  15. Ok great thanks Lorna. Could you tell me what details are required for my secondary applicant, does he need past education, employment, places he's been on holidays etc
  16. To all the 189 visa experts, I am a qualified secondary maths teacher, have sent off my AITSL Skills assessment yesterday, and sitting IELTS in January to get enough points (I need an 8) Going to try to lodge ourselves, but need some help from you POMs especially with the secondary applicant. In my EOI I have ticked that there will be a secondary applicant accompanying me but wondering more about the application stage We're from Ireland so he won't need to sit IELTS and we have plenty of evidence to prove defacto, and have all that documentation prepared I'm on a WHV and he's on 457. What does my defacto partner need to get? Is a skills assessment required for him? Can police clearances, Forms 80 and 1221 be uploaded at the time of application or do you need to wait until requested? Alllllllllllll help appreciated
  17. Hi guys Just quoting from helpful Bungo in another post "The secondary applicant will need to do medicals and police checks in due course. But if you have not started the process, these are not things that I would recommend you start with. In fact it is better to do them later. The immigration department advice is not to do not do them until specifically asked. Anyway I will keep it short as this thread is about teaching not the visa application process, there is a migration section of the forum that is best place for more generic visa questions." I want to know that is our application for our visa lodged before these other documents are uploaded/requested? Because my visa runs out in March, I want to be ready to lodge once I get the invite and was wondering is there a need to begin collecting required documentation before we are asked? Basically I need to submit visa application early March and transfer to a bridging visa We do have another option if things get delayed, and that's to lodge defacto on his 457 (but hoping this won't be needed)
  18. Hmm sounds promising! For adding my defacto partner, aside from proving the genuine relationship (which we can), I'm wondering what will he need to complete so that we can start preparing. Does he also need an Australian police check and a police check from our home country? Anything else you can think of that we could begin to get ready?
  19. Hi Everyone! Great posts here, and some very interesting timelines to get 189 granted! I'm a secondary maths teacher (specialised 4 year degree) I'm here on a WHV year 1, and have just posted my AITSL for a 189 visa IELTS book first weekend in January - I need a score of 8 to get me 60 points as I have no paid experience I have my EOI filled out to the point of needing my skills assessment so hopefully all going to plan I can have that lodged as soon as I receive my AITSL positive Basically my WHV ends in March and I know I am really pushing it for time, but just wondering what any of you experienced people may think I'm in Perth at the minute - is my position in demand? -Is obtaining an overall 8 in IELTS a tough feat? -Did you teachers wait long for invites? All help and opinions welcomed and appreciated
  20. Hey itsmerebecca How did your application go? I am ready to apply as secondary applicant as defacto, but can't find on the immi website as to which form I complete? How do I send all of our evidence?
  21. Ok thank you all for your replies. Yes 6 months is all that we need for the 457 defacto. Has anyone lodged their own application without using a migration agent? We're all ready to lodge I am just wondering what form is required to be completed? Form 1436 is all that we can see on his immi account? Is it just that form along with all of our evidence? I'm confident we have more than enough evidence
  22. Hi guys My boyfriend has been in Oz almost four years, he's been two years on his 457. I arrived early this year and have had joint bank accounts, lived together and shared expenses just over 6 months. We have flight tickets of trips together, and his employer has agreed to uphold sponsorship. What else is needed to bulk our application? I want to lodge it myself to save cost, but need to make sure it is not declined. All suggestions welcome
