  1. Yeah there was a little 'blip' last night that resulted in 24hours of posts missing! Its mentioned in the Q&A Section
  2. I was wondering what happened, thought it was just me! @newjez I think its worth going over that again because that was hilarious.
  3. Brisbane wheel ( Same idea as the Melbourne star , London eye etc ) South bank area is nice, theres a pool area, a kids play area and a little beach too maritime museum is pretty good too Steve Irwin zoo in beerah about an hour north was awesome, still one of my highlights ( maybe because I loved steve) Botanic gardens are nice for walking around too Museum of Brisbane To be honest I didn't find Brisbane that good to be a 'tourist' in, I lived there for about 2.5 months and found it lacked in things to do within the city its self, further a field is better such as out to the Gold Coast area and up to Tambourine, Hope thats helped
  4. I had mine pretty quick. It was quicker than the uk one and i paid for the faster postage option with the uk one.
  5. Good advice, Think travel agent is best bet, its alot of money upfront otherwise and sitting together is certainly a must
  6. Love the idea of the photos. Heres a few of mine. Port Arthor Tasi, Glenelg Adelaide, Mt Buller, Corryong Vic, Merrimbula Bombala river NSW,
  7. Thanks for that. I must look about a points scheme to see if theres anything we can do that way.
  8. Congrats on such a quick house sale, thats nuts how quick that was!! Strange goings on with your username, also says your a junior member even though you have more posts than me.
  9. Thats great! Youll be glad of it! Theres no Rhyme nor reason for the grant timeline !
  10. Short story is my family are coming to Aus at the start of next year for my wedding. Ive 8 going from Northern Ireland and was wondering has anyone got group deals for flights? Or where is best to look for these? Eg travel agents, STA, Expedia and Kayak Any help would be appreciated
  11. Like previously stated it will depend on your currency exchange at the time of payment. And your bank charges. I was able to pay in AUD anyway so was lucky i didnt have an exchange rate to worry about.
  12. I dont know about the weekends not counting ? Mine where when I did my farm work in Victoria. I worked the most of about 4 months on a farm all day everyday had a day off every other week and sometimes I worked 4 weeks with out a day off and mine where counted. You probably shouldn't have left it so late to get your farm work.!
  13. Yeah thats the same for my partner too, it was like that once the C/O requested for more information! Have you uploaded all your medicals and police checks etc?
  14. Would also be interested in this once I move over later in the year. I've been playing once a week for about the last 7/8 Months or so although still not very good. Depends on where your based at ?
  15. Thats awesome news! I have felt the same this week lol I got my police checks back, partner got hers back and done my medical on wednesday, just waiting for it to be uploaded.
  16. Done my medical and all police checks are back. Just waiting on the medical to be uploaded by the Mater hospital in Dublin.
  17. @Beffers Had my medical on Wednesday, the Mater is pretty easy to find if you know your way around dublin, when you go in hang left, down the corridor until you come to the lifts and up on the 5th floor is the visa centre. I was about an hour early of my 3.15 appointment and they took me at about 20 to 3, was pretty busy, took about 1h15m. They have a little waiting area with coffee etc, you just go from doctor to doctor as they do their bit and then down to the Xray on the bottom floor. Was glad that I got taken early because my train was at 4.50pm and knew it would be tight otherwise. Oh and typical dublin weather it piss all day long and it was baltic!
  18. Great Idea, Was going to do this myself! We sorta just hijacked the 309/100 thread lol My Stats 9Th January - Submitted Application 7th March - C/O requested more information ( Great Birthday Present) 16th March - Fiancee's Australian Police check arrived 18th March - Australian Police check arrived 22nd March - Booked Medical Still waiting on Uk Police check Havent seen too many PMV on here to know of current times but Id assume similar to that of 309/100
  19. It says that as normal. If you upload your medical and police checks before the C/O requests its known as Front Loading, No harm in it, alot of folks do it but others wait for contact. The problem with front loading is that the police checks and medical are only valid for 12 months so from what I think I know is that you will need to have your visa granted before they expire, because the process can take up to 20 months depending on the visa then you would need a new police check and medical if it where to take that long, unlikely but could happen. Hope that makes sense
  20. Welcome! Good to see your visa moving along already! Some folk have waited months for that. Unsure why you didn't get an email though, pretty sure immi account will show that you require a medical before its requested, I waited until I had C/O contact.
  21. Awesome news! So many grants in the last number of weeks ! Whats your next step ?
  22. Yeah so have I but still didnt like the new updated time line on PMV before it was 5 months Low risk and 14 high risk. There isnt too many on PMV here to get a better estimate of approval rates.
  23. Anyone seen the new processing times? It was updated today.. I dont like the look of them, doesnt give low and high risk anymore just when they have 75% and 90% of global applications. Heres some here .. 100 Partner is 15 Months (75%) 23 Months (90%) 300 Prospective Marriage is 12 Months (75%) 17 Months (90%) 309 Partner ( Provisional) is 11 Months (75%) 15 Months (90%) 820 Partner is 18 Months (75%) 20 Months (90%) Link is http://www.border.gov.au/about/access-accountability/service-standards/global-visa-citizenship-processing-times
