  1. I would suggest you look at a 190 visa - as mgreaves says your chances of a 189 are extremely slim Sent from my GT-I9305 using Tapatalk
  2. Incredibly fast - congratulations ! Sent from my GT-I9305 using Tapatalk
  3. What are payment options ? Credit Card, Debit Card, Bank Transfer ? Sent from my GT-I9305 using Tapatalk
  4. I have never known HMRC to issue such confirmation during a tax year so it's strange your lender is asking for it. Bank statements and Payslips would normally suffice. Sorry I can't help more.... Sent from my GT-I9305 using Tapatalk
  5. Were you employed or self employed ? If employed then you should have payslips to prove your income - or a P45 should have been issued when you left your first job in July ? Sent from my GT-I9305 using Tapatalk
  6. I can't believe how quickly people who have applied in November are receiving direct grants - 2 weeks after submitting application and front loading all documents in some cases ! Sent from my GT-I9305 using Tapatalk
  7. I believe you can only start uploading after payment but someone may be able to confirm... Sent from my GT-I9305 using Tapatalk
  8. I am about to submit my application after receiving an invite and am looking for some advice. My wife was born in UK to Spanish parents and had a UK and Spanish passport when she was younger. When her Spanish passport expired she choose not to renew it and only has a valid UK passport now. She does however have a valid Spanish ID card (DNI). Would she be classed as a Spanish Citizen in the application form ? She has contacted the Spanish Consulate in Edinburgh who have been less than helpful. Thanks in advance for any help. 9. I think the last round only cleared 70 pointers to the start if September so you could be another few months wait unless they increase the number of invites released. It'll be a tough decision you'll have assuming you'll get a 190 invite quite soon. Hopefully the degree is enough for you. Sent from my GT-I9305 using Tapatalk
  10. Sounds crazy but 70 points as an accountant isn't guaranteed. When did you lodge your EOI ? The way things have been moving for accountants there's no harm in looking at options to boost your points. Sent from my GT-I9305 using Tapatalk
  11. It seems DIBP have greatly reduced the number of invites given to accountants in the last few rounds. IF they increase invites in the coming rounds (which they will need to if they want to fill quota) I would expect it to drop to 65 points however as CaptainC rightly says there will be a backlog of those with 65 points waiting. If I was submitting an EOI now with 65 points I would be optimistic of receiving an invite - although I wouldn't bet my house on it [emoji26]
  12. Sneaks up on you when you get to a certain age...
  13. Did you get the invite Denix2 ?
  14. Thanks. It's appreciated. If I get an invite soon I'll gladly eat my hat :-)
  15. Yes thanks. I've applied 190 NSW but it seems someone needs to give them a nudge...
  16. One thing for sure is you've a better chance than me - a 60 point auditor :-(
  17. In the last round (7 Sep) there were around 1300 invited with 65 or more points. If a further 1300 have applied since then with 65 or more points since then and only 1000 invites are released it may not be guaranteed. Or am I missing something ? Now that rounds are twice monthly 65+ will be guaranteed when the next round arrives as only 2 more weeks worth of applications will be waiting.
  18. Any reason why you choose IELTS over PTE ? General consensus is that PTE is less taxing and results are given next day Do NT need proof of funds ?
  19. As a Broncos fan watching from Scotland I was gutted for the boys but the pain was eased by the fact JT truly deserved the win. Having only watched League for the last 10 years he is the greatest player I have seen. It showed how much it meant to him at the end. Well done NQ Cowboys.
  20. After receiving a positive skill assessment from CPAA as external auditor I contacted them again enquiring about receiving a second assessment (as general accountant) to increase my options. My worry is that when NSW start issuing invites they concentrate of general accountants to the detriment of external auditors. They informed me that receiving a second assessment will automatically render my first assessment invalid. I plan to contact another of the assessing bodies to see if a second assessment from a different body can be done without cancelling the first. Does anyone have any experience with this ? Is it possible to have 2 live assessments ? If so, I don't see why this can't be provided by the same body. Thanks for any thoughts.
  21. Looking at the positives it would be more worrying if a 70 point backlog was created after 400 invites so assuming they invite more next round things should rectify later in year as you say. Good luck!
  22. I don't understand why only 20 invites were issued ? It was prorata'd to ensure so many were invited each month. Any suggestions?
  23. I didnt have my membership certificate so asked ACCA to provide letter of good standing which was sufficient. I also asked ACCA for copy of exam transcripts which showed each individual exam score. The skills assessment process should be very simple for ACCA members. I contacted an agent and they would charge £600 + Vat for effectively forwarding a few documents. Other occupations may be much more involved if they include work experience etc but this isn't needed for accountants skill assessment which makes it so much easier.
  24. Without a doubt ! The quicker they release the stats from last round the better so we all know where we stand.
  25. Apparently some 70 pointers were not invited last round so there might be a slight backlog to clear first.
