  1. He would be in P1 which started around a month ago (mid august). March birthdays are the oldest in their class who start in the August they are aged 5. Most who start P1 will have had 1.5 to 2 years nursery before they start P1 which is 5 days a week but only for 3.5 hours a day.
  2. Good point, thank you I thought any postcode changes would occur at the same time but maybe not ?
  3. Yes sorry - an officer from business and skilled migration queensland.
  4. They informed me by email on 17th August they had a new list coming out "within the next few weeks" so I guess we will find out soon Although this was regarding the occupations on their SOL and CSOL I guess any changes regarding regional postcodes would be done then too
  5. I agree with Alan. CGT and residency issues are complicated areas which change all the time. Waiting until your property has been sold will often be too late to utilise various reliefs, exemptions etc. I realise people don't want to pay for advice but it can be worth it in the long term.
  6. Hi First up congrats on the invite I am currently waiting for my skill assessment as external auditor with CPA I can't answer all your queries i'm afraid but here's my thoughts anyway a) I believe the approval should be done quicker than 90 days, purely because there doesn't appear to be many invites made for them to deal with b) If you submitted 2 EOIs (1 for 189 and 1 for 190 then the 189 will still be under consideration) If you submitted 1 EOI with both 189 and 190 selected then the 189 will be on hold until the 190 is dealt with e) You are probably aware that the ceiling for external auditors is close to being reached so your EOI of 12 Aug may miss the cut anyway If I were you I would proceed with the nomination with NSW - If you get a 189 invite in September you can always look at your options then f) You should be able to apply for the either visa by that date but I doubt either would be granted before then The above are purely my opinion. Maybe someone with more expertise will have some more thoughts. Good luck whichever route you take.
  7. HMRC can provide you with this - call them on 0300 200 3300 Are you employed or self employed ? If you are self employed you should call and ask for the last 5 years SA302's If you are employed you can ask for the last 5 years income details from employment I am an accountant and regularly have to request this info for clients to help with their tax They may only be able to provide 4 years - to be honest I am not sure if they can go back 5 ? If they ask why you need it just say your accountant is looking in your tax affairs
  8. Thank you For some strange reason I was more stressed and uptight about passing this exam than any of my ACCA accountancy exams ! Anyway that's the stress over, just a waiting game now
  9. I sat my PTE exam in Newcastle (England not NSW !) yesterday and am pleased to say I got my scores at 07.30 this morning and they were 90 90 90 90 I was impressed with the test centre and would recommend it to anyone considering it I was booked onto the Edinburgh exam the previous week but after sitting waiting for around 2 hours we were all told that the computers were not working and we couldn't sit it. So I decided to make the trip to Newcastle rather than waiting another month to see if Edinburgh was back online and am obviously very glad I did !
  10. Compulsory subjects have increased from 4 to 7 so some qualifications may not cover all areas required
  11. Although I haven't heard any official confirmation, I would assume that qualification with the bodies you mention will be fine. I may be those with various university degrees that may find some of the required modules may not have been covered.
  12. One thing in your advantage, in my opinion, is that the criteria for a successful skills assessment has got tougher from July, so it will be interesting to see how many people are now unsuccessful in their skills assessment who would previously have been successful. Will the number applying for invitations in the future under this category drop ? Does anyone have similar thoughts ? I am in a similar situation to yourself, just waiting for my English test next week, so am interested to see how you get on. Please let me know.
  13. I believe it will be hard to tell until the stats come out from the previous round as 2211 is under a pro-rata arrangement where only a set number will receive invites each month.
  14. Hi Orlando Who did you get your skill assessment done by ? Did they assess your experience at the same time ?
  15. I am booked onto the exam in Edinburgh next month and have just taken my first practice test. My score in speaking was very poor (61) - Pronunciation was 39 and oral fluency was 57 ! I did not have a headset at home - can this have a major impact due to poor quality voice recording ?
