  1. Centrelink has been inundated with providing emergency payments for bushfire victims, so they've been rather busy In Port Macquarie. Also the office has been closed because of the fires so that delays things as well!!
  2. Thanks @Kathss56 didn’t know about this ...will let my daughter and SiL know
  3. We haven’t received Aos acceptance letter to pass on to PVC despite paying bond nearly a month ago. Had rejection letter but SiL has talked to CL manager a couple of times and they say they can see no problem. Totally frustrating
  4. Update: SiL called CL. They said that as far as they can see everything is OK but still haven’t received acceptance letter. He asked how long will this take and they said didn’t know could be days could be weeks! We paid the money nearly a month ago..wondering what the hell is going on as daughter said $14000 is not an inconsiderable amount of money. Going to try and call complaints line but really busy over the next few days...we’re worrying paperwork will run out!
  5. Thanks daughter was expecting a call from CL yesterday but nothing, so they’ll try and ring during their lunch break! Smoke getting bad again so the kids will probably be sent home from school
  6. On and on this goes...nearly a month since we paid Aos and CL still haven’t confirmed it’s ok! Family fed up especially with added stress of bushfires...when will this end so we can get over and help? trying to stay positive
  7. @Jellybean T hi we’re in the same boat, having had problems with Centrelink from the start, our daughter and SiL say they’ve spoken to Centrelink a couple of times recently and that something should be through in a couple of days. Bushfires have meant the office was closed yesterday so we’re not holding our breath but now we’ve been waiting 51 months and 2 weeks it would be nice to get this palaver all over
  8. Dear @Kathss56 I really hope your journey isn’t as stressful as ours! And hopefully a little shorter as they may have smoothed the bumps! We’re just waiting for news of bush fires in Batak Creek and Port Macquarie at the mo....it’s all we can focus on
  9. Still waiting at 51 months and a week for Aos bond to be sorted....others worries at the mo though...mother in law about to lose her house to the bush fires has moved in with our daughter...smoke and fire everywhere
  10. I never thought of that but it does make sense...when you watch Nothing to Declare they go through phones etc so why not forums as well. I’m not worrying about it and didn’t even think you thought that
  11. It’s strange but you mention case officers ...we don’t appear to have one as our daughter talks to a different person every time!
  12. Just spoke to daughter and SiL spoke to CL and they say they haven’t got a clue why it’s been rejected. They’re going to try and find out what the problem is as when daughter and SiL submitted the bank receipts etc CL manager said that everything was correct. SiL has been asked to call on Friday if he doesn’t hear anything before
  13. Not sure yet...our SiLwas going to ring so I’m sure we’ll hear soon
  14. Just looked at this....our SiL didn’t have to pay the $150! Just set up three accounts for some reason!
  15. Oh well what did we expect, despite being assured by the manager of CL that the documents they had uploaded concerning Aos payment were correct our daughter has now received a rejection letter...seems to be happening to everyone. Another phone call to CL tomorrow then
  16. How long should it be before you get the acceptance Aos letter after paying the a$14000 bond as w haven’t heard anything and it was paid 14 October! Fed up with all this waiting now
  17. How long should it be before you get the acceptance Aos letter after paying the a$14000 bond as w haven’t heard anything and it was paid 14 October! Fed up with all this waiting now
  18. Ha ha when we applied August 2015 told the same lie! We’re coming up to 51 months now!
  19. Have you paid your Aos bond? We’re just waiting now as well and we applied August 2015....just a waiting game.
  20. Good to see it’s in the system @karu1 hopefully won’t take too long
  21. Did you get a reference number when you submitted the paper Aos as our daughter did. They should’ve given you one.
  22. I totally agree with you @Sadge we couldn’t have coped without an agent as we work long hours in the service industry and couldn’t have completed everything in time correctly without their help. Along with all the problems our daughter has had with Aos which she herself sorted out the whole thing would've given us a breakdown! Everyone on the forum has been a great help and support but you really sometimes need an expert as well
  23. Thanks that’s helpful. Our SiL wasn’t asked to pay anything just set up three accounts! I don’t think our Comm Bank in Port Macquarie NSW is actually open on a Saturday so he had to take time off work to go, and the other assurer was overseas at the time.
