Yes we’re ready and waiting and so are all our grandchildren (7) ranging from 4-11 all growing up too quickly! And waiting for Nanni Jacqui and Granddad Mark to hurry up and get there ? Roll on August!

Hi, has anyone tried finding out the current processing time for 143's as I'm getting no response. Would their automated reply be shut as well for the New Year? Just curious! Also - could the email address have changed as they've changed the department's name? Thanks

Hi, I thought this visa was if you came from a country which isn't eligible for an ETA? Maybe I'm wrong. I think it costs money whereas an ETA is free.

No the long wait is definitely worth the looks on our grandchildren’s faces when they realize that we really have a home there...and it’s not just for our holidays! Although the wait is so incredibly stressful!

I have made a new mail box called Australia and just put all emails in there - you can also tag them..sometimes with different colours!

Hi we're going to Port Macquarie - it should read mid north coast! To live near our daughter her partner/husband to be and all the grandchildren! Maybe not surfing ? but paddle boarding !

Hi, my aunt and uncle have lived in Sunbury for 30+ years and love it, and it's easy to go into Melbourne on the train, and also explore around the area. It wasn't too cold when I was there some years ago...but there has been a lot of unseasonal weather recently.

We applied Aug 2015 thinking 18 month wait - not bad! But now this has more than doubled...we've stayed where we work, extending it each time the timeline has changed, and boss has been happy with this but don't know if we can work and wait over another year as it's so depressing. Our daughter gets married next year and we hoped to be there to help but looks like it'll have to be another holiday!!!! Getting SO FED UP!

Don't forget the op shops and tender centers - my daughter is a wiz at finding brilliant furniture, gadgets and things she needs for the kids. st Vincent's is especially good - bought a lovely straw hat with silk scarf for $3!

It seems incredibly cruel..you say goodbye to family and friends to move to Australia then after ten years you have to go back saying goodbye to growing family. Cruel beyond words !
