  1. Yes we arrived 2 Jan and now live in Port Macquarie. I’ve got a job as a receptionist in a medical centre, but hubby has suffered from effects of corona virus on the hospitality sector and has lost 2 jobs so far! Oh well, daughter has loaned us. Only so he can get a boat ....keeps him sane? Hope you are all well down in Sydney....sadly not much travel allowed at the mo!
  2. Our Centrelink never seems to have a queue as so much is online at the mo!
  3. Congrats! I’m working as a receptionist at my local medical centre...lots to learn, and lovely people to work with. One of them is a Pom as well, and we confuse the patients as there’s two of us now. Four years was a long time and the last few months were definitely the worst...we were living in a caravan for a few weeks before flying out on New Year’s Eve ...but we’re here now and don’t want to be anywhere else. Had an evening out with the two youngest grandkids (6&8) on Friday evening at the local sushi Japanese and it was great! Husband says he hasn’t been so happy for such a long while! RESULT! As there were many times I thought he’d given up. Keep well and in touch with us all
  4. Can you go to WA or do you need an exemption to get in? I’ve lost track of what is in place at the mo!
  5. I think we paid £1000 or so for Go Matilda...worth every penny as we had so many headaches that we could never have expected when we started the long long journey. Really glad not to have all the stress, as we could ask them all sorts of stupid questions and they were always willing and able to help.

  7. There’s also Coronavirus to add to the equation and the rapid slow down there’s been on processing and how long this will continue
  8. Yes we have good practices in place..and a Covid testing tent out in the car park! .and have just had the seasonal flu jab
  9. Yes it can be expensive...I’ve just started working as a receptionist in a medical centre....lots to learn
  10. Looking back at quotes I think 25 was the upper limit but check with an agent to be sure
  11. Read this .. https://www.acacia-au.com/including-family-members-changes-from-19-November-2016.php it may give you some answers. I think you need to be under 23 and still studying to be considered dependent. If you’re over 23 you have to prove you are incapacitated to work...maybe speak to an agent to clarify? Good luck
  12. It’s going to extend times if you go to a country that has a self isolation limit as well eg New Zealand. All for our own good though I suppose! Uk isn’t doing anything yet that I can see
  13. Congrats Kathss56 hope the old virus doesn't disrupt you too much
  14. Hi Noctis, please don't panic. Form 929 (found online) allows you to update address and passport information. You can fill it in, scan and email to the address on the form. I'm not sure whether you need to tell them about your new job, just that you must prove your income for AOS if you are the assuror. There is probably a form for informing Immi that you have married, although not sure which one, as your parents would have entered you on their application form and now need to add your partner. All the best, Jacqui
  15. I think it's about 4-5% and I'm not sure if that includes withdrawals.
  16. The time quoted on Immi has been contentious since about 2016 as we applied in August 2015 being told 18-24 months and even our agent thought this would be about right, but there was a massive increase in applications and we eventually received our 143 after 52 months! So if you want to believe the site you can but I really don't think it will be 51 months as quoted. We originally made plans for 18-24 months but had to completely rethink our lifeplan as a result of the extended wait....if we'd have known differently I think we would have got through the wait with much less stress. Good luck
  17. Hi you don’t have to be a citizen to be a sponsor, PR is good enough, but I think you should’ve been in Australia for at least 2years? Balance of family required us to state who family members were, and where they lived. I think you have to give some proof of who you are, birth certs, marriage/divorce certs etc but I don’t know the Indian system so can’t help you there. Maybe ask on an Indian Oz visa site? Good luck
