  1. Wow carolann, you made me realise my problems are not as bad as the could be. You must be under so much pressure. Most of the pressure I am under is my own that I put on myself come to think of it. The invitation rounds are twice a month, the dates of which can be found on the Immi website. I got invited at the first round after I made my EOI. I'm afraid I don't know anything about the 190 VISA though. ANMAC were pretty punctual with me and I got my approval letter after 13 weeks, like the website says. Best of luck to you. X
  2. Thanks atlas! It means a lot right now, it really does. X
  3. I could really do with a big virtual hug right now. Being the one who sorts everything out in my marriage, bills, money savings etc, it seems The only person who seems to understand what I'm going through right now is the one person I am hurting most by emigrating, my lovely mum. I started the feb 189 applicants thread and seem to be one of the last to be waiting for a visa grant. Anyone else just sick of living in limbo? Having done the majority of the hard work myself it really pains me to have to depend on incompetent people to provide the further documentation requested by immi and AHPRA. I'm finding to hard to keep my cool and have had a couple of teary outbursts today. I don't seem to be getting any advice on the nursing thread, so I'm just reaching out for a bit of moral support to keep going. Thanks for reading!
  4. I am having a major wobble today. Not the first tears I have spent throughout this whole process. I just phoned the NMC to check that the verification of my registration that I requested be sent to AHPRA at the beginning of April has in fact been sent. Only to be told by the very obnoxious lady on the other end of the line, that they were in the process of sending it out in the next couple of weeks!! Am I missing something here? Surely it's just a case of print off and send?! They were quick to take the fee payment though. That's one thing they have been very efficient about. When I explained my situation (that AHPRA have given me till the 1st June to get all the required documents to them) the woman said 'we are doing it as quickly as we can!' I asked why it had taken so long, given I requested it beginning of April, it took them almost three weeks to send me the pack, I sent it back that day and the payment was taken 2 days later. That was 2 weeks ago. She just said 'it will be sent before the 1st of June, that's all I can tell you.' Being sent is great, arriving in Australia would have been more reassuring. I could swing for someone honestly! I absolutely hate having to rely on others to do things as they always seem to let me down.
  5. We are in the exact same position as you Shelz! Waiting for my husbands service history to come from the military records dept. we are told it should be here by the end of the week. I really hope they will review our case earlier than mid June like they said in reply to my informing them the service history could take 40 days. I am sooooooooo done with waiting and living in limbo.
  6. Yes I have emailed them, just waiting for a response now. They have only given me in till June 1st to to vide them. My uni is hopeless so I'll have to go in with a big stick and make them send it in front of me lol!
  7. I have applied to ahpra for registration as a nurse and need some advice or guidance. I sent my application form in, along with all the documents they request and the fee. I got all my docs certified by a notary public, wax seals and all, and paid £150 for the pleasure. Included in these certified docs were colour copies of my degree cert and course transcripts. However, today I received an email from ahpra requesting further information. " Evidence of Qualifications and Transcript – In order to assess your eligibility forregistration we are required to confirm that you are qualified. Please provide acorrectly certified copy of your Diploma /Bachelor degree and transcripts as evidenceof your Nursing qualification.  Current Certificate(s) of Registration Status – Please arrange for certificates ofregistration status to be forwarded directly to AHPRA from all jurisdictions in which youcurrently or have previously held registration during the last five years. " The reg status is on its way to them, but I am baffled by the top request? I've already sent them. Anyone applied recently who had similar problems? I have been given until the 1st June to supply the documents. I would love for just one part of this whole process to be easy, alas, it is not meant to be.
  8. I thought everyone had to have the HIV test? We both did anyway. I Alston had to have hep b and hep c test due to working in Healthcare. I thought the urine test was to Look for drug use but the lady told me, nope they only look for glucose, blood and protein in the urine.
  9. Also, if you leave the country before October you will have been out of the country for over six months of the UK tax year and will therefore be able to reclaim any tax paid you have paid up until then. Extra dosh!!
  10. Oh Macca10 don't forget it was Anzac Day bank holiday today so they won't have been in work. Hence no visas granted overnight! I hope you hear something tonight!
  11. Thanks Macca! I'm crossing everything! I had to do IELTS language exam too, for my skills assessment despite being English born and doing a degree and all education through medium of English. Bit of a money maker I reckon! Best of luck to your wife. Tell her to study hard, because it's harder than you think. Do all the available online practice material. Look forward to hearing how you're progressing.
  12. So I uploaded our forms 80. I emailed the CO to inform them and told them that we had requested hubby's service record from the military but that it could take up to 28 days to arrive. (We are expecting it much sooner) I also explained to them that as they had requested the service history of the last 10 years there wouldn't be much history as he was discharged 9 years ago and was out of action for two years previous to that as he broke his back playing rugby. I got a super prompt email back from the CO (very impressed how quick they were) saying that a specific time extension could not be made so they have marked our case for review again mid June!!!! Please tell me that if I upload the docs when they arrive, and email CO to inform them, they won't wait till mid June to look at them. We wanted to be leaving mid June not still waiting!
  13. Great thanks doctdavis. I panicked and emailed them asking what to do, then thought I might as well upload them anyway as what harm can it do. They asked for hubby's military service record for the Ta's for the last 10 years too, but he was discharged 9 years ago and was out of action for the two years orevious to that as he had broken his back playing rugby. I have told the CO in an email as much but have informed them that we have requested the service record anyway and will take up to 28 days. God I hope they just give us the visa. I'm so tired of all this hoop jumping and waiting. I just want to know already!
  14. Urgent advice request!! Have finally got all the info for form 80 and got them all filled in. Was about to upload it to my immi account when I re-read the email they sent me. It said I should respond with the requested information in writing, using the contact information at the bottom of the email. Does this mean I have to send a hard copy in the post, or email it, or what? Really don't want to cock it up at this point. Or will an email saying I have uploaded the form 80 to my immi account be sufficient? Help please, I really wanted to get this in before the end of the week.
  15. I also submitted mine on the 1st April, and got my UK one back today. No sign of my NZ one yet though.
  16. Oh yes sooo excited! And a little daunted. Still lots to do and in perfect timing my husband has been offered voluntary redundancy so he will have the time and the money to finish all the odd jobs. If we get our grant in the next couple of weeks we hope to fly out in June. Inp need to work a months notice and then I'd like a couple of weeks with my parents before we go. You're not far off now you aw I'll hopefully hear something in the next couple of weeks! Fingers crossed !
  17. Well it's not drinking champagne that's for sure lol! I'm on nights all weekend. I'm confused though as the letter says they want addresses for the last 30 years and all holidays taken ever. But the form only asks for 10 years worth?
  18. Woohoo! Case officer assigned! Form 80 requested for both of us and military details for my hubby. Omg just looked at firm 80, how can anyone get all that information??! I feel sick just reading it.
  19. Hi, underneath where you upload your documents (the box that say health is still requested) is a paragraph telling you to 'click here to arrange you medicals' does it say that? Or does it say health has been finalised for his person, you do not need to do anything unless immigration contact you' or something along those lines? If so you're fine, using emedical your medical results ar uploaded and attached to your application.
  20. Good luck shelz! I see you're a nurse too! What is your speciality and where are you headed? I work in ITU at the moment and hope to do so again in Canberra. :-)
  21. To register as a nurse there I had to do an international criminal history check for New Zealand as I had spent more than 6 months there since I was age 18. Even thought the form only asked for the addresses I had live in in New Zealand in The last 10 years (that being none as I haven't been there for 11 years. Sigh!
  22. I wonder if it is simply that if for example (not insinuating anything lol) a serious crime had been committed in Japan by either of you (again not saying you have ) it would still show up on your Japanese police check. Like points on a drivers licence stay there for so long. Just a thought.
  23. You are all so very kind! It lightens the heart. I'm now up most of the night checking emails lol!

I just listed what I had certificates for. ALS, EPLS, venipuncture, Cannulation etc. I don't think they want much detail, I think it's more your work history they want.
