  1. What are we going to do? It's the first thing I do in the morning! Check tracker, check email, check Facebook, check POI. Then get coffee. This is going to mess with my routine big time. I have requested access but don't know who I am requesting it from.
  2. Access to the Google spreadsheet for visa applications, grants etc. Is anyone else having problems? It tells me I am not authorised to see it anymore but I like to see it a million times a day!!
  3. Great news! Looking at the tracker I was beginning to wonder if it was a bank holiday in Oz lol!
  4. when I did my skills assessment I got the email off them bang on the 13th week that as I recall they state as the processing time! Unfortunately my rubbish uni had not sent them my transcript despite promising to put it straight in the post that afternoon three months previous. Grrr! so I had to get that sent to them then I had email confirmation pretty quickly after that arrived. To be fair everything I have had to do so far in the whole process (ANMAC, VISA invite, POLICE CHECK etc) has been done in the exact time frame they quote. fingers crossed the same goes for the visa grant!

  6. Congratulations guys! I have felt for you benj1980 for the last few days, must have been hell! I'm bad enough now and I know I won't hear anything for at least another 3 weeks.
  7. On the visa tracker it shows one person who applied on the 24th has had a visa and loads who applied on the 23rd too.
  8. I'll try to be technical.......hyperventilates........ http://www.pomsinoz.com/forum/migration-issues/228324-189-visa-lodged-february-2015-a.html did it work?
  9. Macca10 where are you from? I thought the same thing but was advised by folks on here that if you are from a low risk country eg UK you can book your medicals Asap. When you make your application and upload all your documents read the whole page as there is a small section about booking your medicals. You download a form and it gives you your HAP ID to use to book your medicals.then choose one of the immigov approved hospitals to book your medical. We used spire health hospital in Manchester yesterday. £660 for two of us, myself being more expensive as I will be working as a nurse. On another note congrats on your adventure guys, I started the February 2015 application thread as we applied on the 19th so it's nice to see A new thread come up as it means we are progressing! Best of luck guys!
  10. Great! Thanks all! Nothing uploaded as yet from the looks of it. the doctor said it would be done by the end of today. We had our medicals yesterday.
  11. Huh?!! How do you look at e-medical? I have been looking at my immi visa application to see if my medical had been uploaded. Am I looking in the wrong place?
  12. Our visa last month cost £2700 that was for me and hubby. You sound all more organised than I was.
  13. Hi again! We've spoken before lol! We are in Caernarfon so not too far from you guys. We ar also hoping to make the move around the same time as you guys. Assuming we get the magic email next month. Fingers crossed!!!
  14. We had a brilliant flight with Emirates. Really good service, lovely attendants. Then we booked etihad, awful experience and we would never book with them again. We were informed at check in that our onward flight from Abu Dhabi to Sydney was delayed by 7 hours. When we got there we had to go through passport control and security to be taken to a hotel to wait for our flight, then they collected us and took us back only for us to have to wait another 4 hours. When we eventually got to Sydney we had missed our connecting flight to Townsville and had to stay in Sydney overnight and fly first thing. We ended up arriving over 24 hours later than planned. Don't even get me started on the service on the Abu Dhabi to Sydney leg with Virgin Australia, it was terrible. Rude staff, they ignored the bells and then got really cross when I went to the back to ask for a drink as they had ignored the bell twice. Never again.
  15. Beforei went travelling to NZ i used the lonely planet chat facility to get advice and meet folks there.it was very helpful, but then so is PIO! Best of luck and enjoy yourself!
  16. Oh we would also hop on the ferry over to magnetic island for 'Island time' oh god I loved townsville!
  17. When I visited my sister, family time was spent either down on the strand (lots of cafés and restaurant, the beach and the rock pool, and the kids little water park) also there were some other lovely swimming pools on the reeve of the river not far from where my sister lived, in both places there were BBq's galore to use free of charge. I loved it!
  18. Congratulations! Holy crap that's two people who applied on the 15th jan who got visas today! It's getting closer eek!
  19. Ah I see, was wondering what kind of examinations they do at medical. I have just booked ours for next week and always worry that these things may bring to light something we didn't know about. I have had an irrational fear of medicals since being turned down by the army for flat feet.
  20. How did they pick up on early arthritis? Just on examination or X-ray?
  21. That's a great boost to know I could earn that much as a band 5 thank you! wish I had decided to move sooner lol!
  22. Absolutely! In which case we will hopefully be there before you. We are renting our house out (I hope!) so that shouldn't be an issue. I do envy you having your parents over there though, I will have to make do with them coming over for six months of the year once my mum is fully retired. Good luck with the house sale, I hope it is a speedy one, and I look forward to a moral supporting cuppa! Becky
