  1. Exactly and thanks Ninny, it could very well be a blessing in disguise! The 30 day decision period, however, comes up 5 days before it will have been 3 months since we applied. So I may have to ring immigration a little earlier if we haven't heard anything by then, to explain the situation. But we shall cross that bridge if and when we come to it. In the meantime we are just keeping positive and sticking to the plan. X
  2. Well, we now need that golden email more than ever. Hubby has just been given notice of redundancy. Has 30 days to decide wether to take voluntary redundancy or apply for one of many fewer jobs they are being replaced with. No pressure!! The news resulted in instant nausea for me, I think I may have reached my tolerable stress limit. I just really hope we get to hear about our visa this week.
  3. Awwww that's lovely, thanks guys. Xx I'm hoping there will be an immense release of tension when I get that golden email. We will have gotten married, totally renovated our house, gone through the whole Skills assessment and visa application process and emigrated all in less than a year if all goes well. It's been epic! (If stressful ) I can't wait to not have to worry as much about paperwork and documents.
  4. Nope, still says processing. This is agony! Knowing my luck, I will be on my night shift on Thursday and will get it then, so I can't enjoy that champers till Sunday. I really feel it's coming tonight though. Positive positive positive!
  5. They aim to process something like 75% of applications within 3 months, so 6 weeks really is early days. It's just that they have actually been being really efficient and getting some grants done in 6 weeks, so now we have been spoilt lol. Sadly mine is not one of them (yet! I have good vibes for tonight, crossing all fingers and toes)
  6. 27 th of feb given direct grant ........ REALLY!! Not that I am jealous or anything. We've been bypassed waaahhhhhhh. I really felt it in my bones that today was the day. Instead I get a bloody email off fit2work saying that a page of my NZ police check application form is missing. AHPRA you are really trying my patience.
  7. Oops...... the chateauxneuf du pape didn't make it to visa grant day.... :err: We felt the need to check it wasn't poisonous, we are satisfied now it wasn't.
  8. This is tricky. I understand you are upset about this, understandably. However, have you looked into wether you could move over too and complete your degree there? I assume that you also have permanent residency in Aus from your post. This, I believe, would entitle you to education over there (others will know more than I on this though). As you finish in 2017 I'm assuming you are only in your first year? Even if you can't continue from Where you left off, would it be worth starting again over there to be with your family. Just a thought on trying to find a solution. It saddens me though that you feel you are being prevented from venting to your family and friends though.
  9. I paid for ours using my current account Visa card In The UK. But I phoned my bank in advance to warn the. There would be a large international payment coming out. I still had to verify it though.
  10. Noooo! I hate the breaks!! I want that champers! The last long weekend was the worst!
  11. I feel your excitement! I am at the checking emails at stupid o'clock phase. The person just above us on the tracker got assigned a case office today so I am totally wired!! We have a bottle of champagne given to us for our wedding last year chilling and a bottle of chateauneuf du pape all ready to go to celebrate on the day our visa is granted. It will be a lovely breakfast :jiggy:
  12. You don't necessarily have to provide a form 80' it's not always requested. I would have thought that If they wanted you to provide one they would have asked when they asked for the PCC and medicals.
  13. Congrats ninny! I've started waking up to check my emails during the night as we applied on the 19th it's getting so close!! We have started the arduous task of getting rid of all our belongings and doing the house up for rental all at once whilst living in it and working full time. My poor hubby is a hoarder (not of the extreme variety) and is struggling seeing so many mementos being thrown away or sold. Home is where the heart is I say, and I am really looking forward to starting from scratch with nothing to our name but the suitcases we arrive with (and our beloved bikes of course) oh please let our visa come soon crossing all fingers and toes!!
  14. Access has been denied again. Someone has changed the access settings. Was it you who changed it back last time Atlas? If so pretty please can you do it again?? I wish people would stop messing with it. Grrr
  15. Looks like someone has changed the access for the visa tracker again. If anyone who does have access to it could change it back again I'd be grateful.
  16. If he is British and has a British passport, that is enough. However if you want to claim points for English ability then He will need to do IELTS (assuming he is the main applicant) . Who is the main applicant? You or your fiance?
  17. I laughed out loud at Farage' reaction to the SNP lady's comment that 'there is nothing that Farage won't blame on immigrants' tickled me!
  18. Erm tomorrow is good Friday, therefor a bank holiday sadly. Probably won't hear anything until Tuesday at the earliest now. Although I am concerned that there were no visas granted on the tracker today and only one for the last two days. Sigh.
  19. Me too, very worrying. Especially since only one grant has been given in the tracker each day for the last two days.
  20. Our were £660 in total from spire health in manchester. That was for me, a nurse needing the whole lot HIV hep b&c etc and my husband just having the medical X-ray and HIV test. It's all on their website.
  21. I would get a copy of your prescription from your current GP and maybe a covering letter from him or her. Then take this to the docs when you get to Oz. I was able to get a 2 month supply of my Lasoprazole when I was away for 6 weeks so I imagine you'd be able to do the same to cover you till you get settled and get to a GP. I doubt it would affect your application, it's very common. the doctor at my medical was not fussed about mine at all.
  22. Sorry didn't see the thread had another page. Question answered.
  23. Hi Harryc Where did you get your info from re your quote about COs being into first 2 weeks of feb? The immi website states for the 189 and 190 that if you applied in Jan you have been allocated to a team. But after Jan the it seems the processing is Indeed slowing down. can you give me the link to where it says that on the immi website? I didn't realised they put current stuff up, thought it was just a generic time guide they had. Trust me to apply in February if things are slowing down.
  24. Are you serious!! OMG if they don't accept my documents signed by a solicitor I am going to absolutely flip my lid. I am really losing my patience with AHPRA and their pettiness. The have been the most awkward part of the process, and I don't see any justifiable reason for it.
