chubalubs replied to Dansi's topic in Careers and Vacancies
This is a really interesting thread, would like to hear the outcome of this -
Hi, just out of interest - what is your occupation?
-
Thanks Mad Cow just make me even more depressed
-
Hi, we're in the same boat - such an expensive move and without a job lined up a very daunting move - we are signing up with Living the Dream, Tony Mooney - might be worth giving him a try - he's not a migrant agent - he owns a management company and works with recruitment companies in Oz - let us know how you get on
-
OMG I need to find a sponsor ASAP so I can start a "Were finally here" Soooooooo Jealous! Its freezing here in Wales
-
Hi Sams family - yes we've spoken with Tony and all sounds really promising - just wanted to get abit of feedback about them before signing up - a little worried at the lack of reviews on them!
-
We are hoping to move to Victoria, still searching for a company to sponsor me on a 457 visa (I'm a Team Leader/Welder) but this is the state I think would suit my family the best
-
Not sure if anyone of you can help but I'm a Team Leader/Welder here in the UK and looking for a company in Oz to sponsor me on a 457 Visa, please e-mail if you know of any companies that may be able to help - Thanks
-

Same here Robby 10 - need to find a company that will sponsor my hubby on a 457 visa, have sent out over 300 e-mails and yet still no joy :-( didn't think it would be this difficult, hes a welder and apparently welders are in demand - REALLY!!
-
Enjoy!! lucky monkeys :-)

Hi, I'm looking for a company to sponsor me! what is your trade? (hope you don't mind me asking)
-
Hi, what sort of visa are you applying for?

Hi Julia, We have spoken to many Migrant agents and been to Live down under exhibition and spoken to many people there, because of my lack of certain qualifications (I have a City in Guild in Plant and Machinery and NVQs Level 2 in Team Leading and Engineering along with 20+ training courses that I have attending, I have been in my current employment for 18 years) and my old age of 40 I would not qualify for the 189 or 190 and therefore the 457 is my only option unless I want to go over on a student visa but then I would only be allowed to work 20 hours a week - I have a family to support, my wife won't be able to work for the first year as we have young children and 1 will still be at home plus she wants to concentrate on settling them in to there new lifestyle. The 457 visa seems to be a popular visa for people in our situation but trying to find a sponsor seems impossible, Live the Dream, who are a management company offer a good package whereas a Migrant agent will only get the visa and cost triple the amount! Also with the 457 visa I won't have to do the skills assessment which will save £££ so all round if we can't find a sponsor ourselves, Live the Dream seems our best option... just wish there were more reviews about them from people that have used there services!

Sorry I was going by the date she joined April 2012!! I'm new at this so you will have to bear with me, LOL. I am a Welder, I don't have enough points to go for a 189 or 190 as I am 40, am trying to get a sponsor myself but failing that will sign up with Live the Dream

Hi there, I'm new to forums and looking forward to speaking with people looking to move down under.. we are having a nightmare time trying to find a sponsor - over 300 e-mails have been sent and yet no positve responses :-( might get there one day - fingers crossed!

Hi, I am still in the UK, currently looking for a company to sponsor me n a 457 visa, I have e-mailed over 300 companies and only had a limited amount of replies of which neither were positive ones :-( I'm a welder and really did think it would be easier to find a sponsor, looking into using an agent/management company now that promises to find a sponsor for us.. Living the Dream, fingers crossed they will have more luck then us although its a costly way to go hopefully it will be worth it

Hi Julia, just saw your post and was wondering where you are now and if your in Oz how did you go about it? I'm hoping to re-locate my family to Oz within the next 12 months but not having any success in finding a company that will sponsor me on a 457 visa, my resume is a good one and we are flexible as to where we move as long as its south of oz. I have sent out over 300 resumes with covering letters to companies and recruitment agencies and yet have still not received a positive response :-( Agent is my next step but this is a costly one! Speak soon Chubalubs
