  1. Guys :biggrin:!! I am amazingly happy to share the good news that our PR is granted today.....Actually it happened pretty faster in just 9 weeks..... This PR should clear some of the doubts: RSMS PR quota has not reached its limit for the current year, people are still getting their approvals...so u can still get it in June Melbourne center is in top gear now....i know couple of other cases My timeline - DRC (using Agent) Visa & Nomination Applied together - 21/03/2013 Acknowledgement - 27/03/2013 Case officer Allocated and Nomination approved - 29/05/2013 and Requested additional Information PR Granted - 07/06/2013 Melbourne Center Occupation - Urban & Regional Planner I wish the wait should not last long for you guys......best wishes....
  2. Thanks all again for your valuable feedback.....i am now sure that i have sufficient time for holiday without worrying for bridging visa. @Chubalubs - I am a civil engineer
  3. Thanks a lot George & Blossom for clearing my doubt. Actually, i am going for 4 weeks holiday. I am in no way going to leave my employer. My current employer sponsored me for 457 and the same employer is sponsoring me for RSMS, so there is no point in leaving the current employer. However, DIAC suggested that even if bridging visa will not come into effect by the time 457 is effective.....yet the bridging visa (assigned at the time of visa lodgement) will expire once i leave Australia and i will have to retrieve my bridging visa upon returning to Au......is this right Could you or anybody else give your opinion on this....
  4. All, I am preparing to apply for onshore RSMS 187 Visa shortly (already applied for RCB). I have a question regarding bridging visa for which i could not get a reasonable understanding reading through DIAC website & several other web links. My question - I am currently on 457 visa and it will remain valid until 2015. If I apply for PR visa (RSMS-187), When does bridging visa rules come into effect in my case......Soon after i lodge my visa application OR bridging visa does not come into effect at all, reason being i have a substantive visa (457) for another 2-3 years. I have an unavoidable visit outside Australia within next 3 months by which i would have lodged my visa...and wondering will i need to go through bridging visas rule.... thanks in advance......
