  1. ay?!! why would you want to COPY someone else's format of their resume? do you no have your own resume to use?!
  2. if you already have a positive skills assessments, submit your EOI, then apply to NSW. Would won't hear back from NSW for at least 12 weeks after you submit your docs to them. Approval is another 4 or so weeks after you get your ack email with your file number in it.
  3. are you wanting to do the ACS process by yourself or with the help of a Registered Migration agent, such as Peter Chiam @ ptlabs consulting (who I used for the ACS process).
  4. I applied to NSW (sys admin) nov 20, docs delivered by aus post on Nov 23. I got my ack email (12 weeks - yes this is how long it is currently taking) soon I should expect to get an approval in a week or two. Currently they are acknowledging early December applications. Approvals for November applications such as mine are now being finalized. So get your application in now, cause it will take 12 weeks from now to get the ack email with your file number in it then it will take another 4 or so weeks to hear of approval from NSW.
  5. meds are like the last thing requested through your employer. Once you lodge your visa online you should get a TRN number to schedule with the panel doctor to have your meds done. if you have not yet requested your PCC, i suggest you do them now. In any country where you have been in for more than a year you will need to get a PCC for it.
  6. lol exactly I'm not a developer programmer and therefore do NOT use C++ or Java in my line of work duties as a sys admin!!!
  7. At time of invitation Points 18–24 years 25 25–32 years 30 33–39 years 25 40–44 years 15 minimum 18, maximum 50 If I am wrong others will correct me.
  8. CRAP so it's not like the MOC are going to rush your referred medical just because your PCC is about to expire and therefore you have to make the first entry to activate your visa before the PCC expires. UGH
  9. for example if your PCC expires in August, and you lodge your visa in March and then do your medicals but then your medicals get referred with a 3-4 month possibly longer than that processing time. and you need to activate your visa before your PCC expires...what happens??
  10. I wanna know the same thing, what if it's 6 months or less to activate the visa.
  11. If you have your TRN number you can book your medicals thru ehealth
  12. What kind of details is needed? your occupation date of hire date of last day your duties and responsibilities s/w or h/w tools you used to perform your everyday duties your working days, working hours, any overtime? pay/salary is irrelevant.
  13. and if he doesn't then your 60 days is up and you will be taken off the skillselect and have to start all over again - is that what you want?
  14. i also got an invitation to apply to Orana for Sys admin but I am a week away from hearing whether i get SS for NSW.
  15. is there any reason why you can't lodge the 190 visa YOURSELF?
  16. If you do book your flight now, can you get a refund on your flight ticket if you DON'T get your visa granted in August?

    EOI and SS

I applied for NSW SS with 55 pts. which state are you applying to?
  18. Does the MOC processing timeframe matter whether it's for a 189/190/489 etc.. visa? what is the maximum time MOC takes to thoroughly check an applicants medical if referred.
  19. i.e Vic requires a 7.0 in all modules, whilst NSW requires a 6.5
  20. Social Worker Anzsco code 272511 assessing body AASW, is currently on the SOL1 list, which means you just need at least 60 points to get an invite and you don't have to be sponsored by a state.. If you have at least 3 years work exp as a social worker you claim 5 pts, but 5 years claims 10 pts. all this depends on whether your occupation will still exist in 3 or 5 years time and is still on the SOL1 (189 independent PR visa). Have you gone through the skillselect website for more info? I'm not going thru the 189 route, because my occupation falls under the 190 route which means I need a state to sponsor me.
  21. whichever route you take, you need a couple more years work experience before looking at 189/190/489 - which ever occupation you will end up being in.
  22. which visa will you be moving on?
  23. have you gone through the duties and responsibilities of both occupations to see where YOUR duties fit?
