  7. Hi I am a qualified Chef with 15 years experience, I'm looking for an employer who is willing to sponsor me on a 457 visa. I am already in Perth WA, and can attend any interviews. Please get in touch and I will send my resume when requested. Thanks in advance. Ed
  8. I'm a dedicated Head / Sous Chef with 16 years of experience. I have experience in Australia, but my potential employer was refused the ability to sponsor by immigration because they did not meet the standards for Australian born training. So I'm willing to travel around Perth or completely relocate in WA or any other state (will do country remote and Rural if required) However i would need to be sponsored first. Please get in touch if you have a vacancy.
  9. Tony, i dont think so mate no one wants to earn $100K lol
  10. I need a Sonographer to work on Locum or Perm contracts throughout Australia. Your main function in this role is to provide an efficient, high quality diagnostic imaging service using state of the art ultrasound equipment. Experience on using Toshiba Apolio, IV22's and or GE Logiq E9's is preferable. In this position, you will develop close relationships with local referrers, and also enjoy a degree of autonomy in day-to-day decision making. This is a great opportunity to join an enthusiastic, professional and experienced team. Our client is committed to personal development and offers every opportunity in assistance. In addition, our client is offering assistance with relocation cost and initial accommodation costs. Candidates must hold registration with ASAR or at least be eligible to hold accreditation and possess a broad sound knowledge in Medical Sonography.
  11. Hi Can you pm me your number? I work with rural and remote nurses as a recruiter and might be able to help. Dave
  12. Thanks guys for your comments, i've contacted RAC and they will inspect a car on my behalf. Well worth $100 trust me
  13. I wouldn't go spending money on something not practical like a Jeep. You'll quickly find cars are way over priced here. More so since i can buy a car older than me for crazy money. The cost of fuel is cheaper than the uk but when living on WA salary it quickly becomes just as expensive in real terms. Try looking at a small corsa (Barina) for KA etc
  14. Lots of Pom's live live in the northern subs. But depends what you want, do you want to live in Australia and be another Brit hanging around with other Brits in another **** pub? Well for the time being you most likely will lol. I lived in Clarkson before moving down cost to Perth for more active life style and experience Australian life more. Since i came here expecting to stay i wanted to mix in more with Aussies than Brits.
  15. Jon1991... I did! Not the best solution but it's now someone elses problem. Honest Aussie's...
  16. HI I'm in need of a car, i cant really aford to spend huge amounts and already i've been had costing me $2000 buying a duff car. So If anyone knows a mechanic who is able to come with me to view a car and give it the once over please let me know. I had thought i was good at spotting things but i ended up buying a car and the head was gone. Dont ask! I fell for a classic trap. Anyway would be good if someone could help. I work during the day M to F and i'm a Paramedic at the weekends so i need a reliable car to get back and forward from the Wheatbelt.
  17. Any Sonographers interersted in working in Australia please contact me. I have a number of positions in WA & NSW.
  18. Hey guys... I wouldn't think there would any risk for you. My partner and i both worked in our business in Scotland... Was going okay but in decline through no fault of our own. Business we're leaving the area for cheaper rentals. Anyway we came here on the basis i would be on a WHV and the other half was on holiday. Now he is sponsored after getting a job and starts next year and I now as a Medical Consultant for recruitment firm, work part time as a paramedic and attend Uni next year for formal paramedic qualifications. Seriously this would not be done if we stayed in the UK... infact i wouldn't go back even if my WHV ended (i'd just go into hiding). You skill base is in demand both UK and Here. If you don't like OZ then you will get a job back home no problem although your partner might struggle with retail if they were to return too.
  19. Do you need medicals for a 457? My partner and i are getting a 457 and medicals have never been mentioned what so ever!
  20. hi Guys, my partner and i moved to Wembley Downs but the good local places are leedervile and mt lawley. Great places to socialise out of the city with reasonable accomodation. I work as Medical Recruitment Consultant in Perth WA so i might be able to help you out with some jobs too. You will need to get your APRAH (basicly a registration to work in Australia as a nurse) before you can commence anywhere. Private message me if you want to meet up when you come. Perth is a lovely City but its hard to make friends at times. Dave and Ed
  21. thank you guys for the response. At the moment i told my employer that he wont be on mine and i've only been with my new employer for 5 months. I really dont want to go back to them and ask them to sponsor him when i told them otherwise when i joined... He is a chef so hopefully he can get sponsorship that way.
  22. Hi, I have arrived in Australia on a WHV and secured a 457 with an employer. My partner lives here in WA with me but on Holiday visa (no working rights). For personal reasons he was not added and also i didn't want to any create problems if a potential employer didn't want the responsability of two sponsors. (for those who do not know, an employer is responsable for both of you not just one and has a financial liability to you) Anyway i would like my partner to live in oz with me but he needs to be able to work. Is there there any way that he can be allowed without going on mine? he will need to go home in 6 months if we cannot get it sorted.
  23. Suzanne Hi I hope you are settled now. My Partner and I have been in Perth since May from Hamilton (the wee town outside Glasgow) as everyone knows it... Anyhows give us a PM we can meet up and say hi. There is another lovely couple from Glasgow two decent girls who just moved here at the same time as us. If your avail we would love to meet up and enjoy the sights and bars of Perth.
