Simply no. In the UK i earn £25k per year but earn $70K here. But i can make £25K in the UK go further than here in Perth any day.

Hi I might be able to help you, but i might rethink Melbourne as the money is made in WA or NSW. I work for a medical recruitment agency placing contract and perm midwives. midwives can earn around $55per hour in NSW health rates and $48 in WA health rates. I would stay away from private hospitals, they dont pay more and some have a reputation for hard line work. Feel free to give me your private email address or phone number (even if it is in the UK) i will call you from my office. Its worth asking... are you a Registered Nurse as well or just Midwifery? Here is Australia Midwives are also RN's unlike the UK where you can be a Midwife but not a registered nurse either. Plus you will need to be APHRA registered too. Dx

Thank you, yes i have tried but sponsorship is hard to obtain. Most employers here so far in Australia say yes we can sponsor the grind you down and dump on you when they see the advantage of having you on board but still ahve no intention of sponsorship. It can be sole destroying.

Hi thank you for your reply. I'm unsure to the name of the area but it is the far south East where new build properties are being developed. Pretty much as far from the beach as you can get. By way of invest I mean this is only a trial while we wait on the outcome of our TRA and SS sponsorship.

Hi my partner and I (gay couple both 30) are having a horrendous time trying obtain a rental. We have offered a bond as required and even 2 months rent in advance just to get something but their not willing to contact me back.
