I hear that redbacks hide under the toilet seat and wait there to bite unsuspecting people. The huntsmans favorite spot, so I hear, is under the sun screen panel of the car just waiting there until the driver lowers it to jump out at you and scare the crap out of you.... LOL Well thats the nightmares i have about spiders LOL

  12. Taiwan is definately NOT owned by China it is a competely different country. Its official name is the Republic of China whereas Chinas official name is the Peoples Republic of China. The two countries were torn apart during the civil war(similar to north and south korea). The two countries are not on very good terms with one another. However Taiwan(republic of China) is an open society, democratic and you can access Facebook there. Hope this clarifies the situation.
  13. Is in Taiwan? Taipei Which is a different country from China...unless there is a taipei airport also in China
  14. strange, maybe trhe son isnt telling ihs dad the full story or a case of mistaken identity? Regardless of the motivation it is terrible thing anyone has to go through.

    So hot.....

Dont worry this extreme weather event will pass and the normal service of rain and cloud will resume.
  16. I dont get the feeling they look at the rest of the world as backward. You are free to worship whatever religion you choose or say whatever you want. Many people that emmigrate to the west craze such freedoms. Your example of Burkas, recently Muslim Canadian women petitioned parliment to get burkas banned because they fled to Canada to get away from that sort of backwards cultural imperalism which is imposed on them by relgious edicts or community 'elders'. I think immigrants dont really appreciate the cultural differences of the their adopted country before making the move and sadly has the potential to make things worse. As to the flag burning. What is your point? A lot of this flag burning has nothing to do with the west. A recent good example was with those Mohammed cartoons - people were burning flags and many people died globally over the cartoons and some pictures that were taken from agricultural magizines (which had nothing to do with religion). The clerics that publicised these pictures were immigrants to france i think seeking protection from the egyptian government but instead sought to cause as much globally conflict and strife as possible

  22. as i said perthbum i cant remember the name of the area as it was 10 years ago. Anyway one thing i can say that many parts of Birmingham are a shithole. Has some great areas too of course.
  23. Well i went to see some houses to rent in Bham, I cant remember the name but it could of been close to winston green. I kid you not the the place looked like a war zone. Burnt out cars, boarded up windows on houses(presumably brokeninto), burnt out houses! Huge gangs of yyouths hanging around the tram stop. I honestly did not feel safe in that neighbourhood. It was very scary Though to be fair i am sure there are place like that in Sydney too.
  24. I used to live in birmingham also. I never had any trouble with the locals. Did kind of feel like I was a transitory 'guest' though - being a student and all.
